Hey, guys, can we, uh, not turn this thread into yet another complaining thread?
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows....I was complaining? I was specifying the problems I had with the game personally, as in what I could and couldn't do, not the quality.
Also, Xavier, get your ass back into WAOAA and finish up already.
Quest 64 threadYes. Yes I have. I have to say, it worked out very well. I honestly thought Enerjak had been essentially written out of the series forever before that arc.
On a nearly unrelated note, I've been hankering for a new Sonic the Fighters recently. One based around the Archie universe specifically, but generally just a Sonic based fighting game.
I'm reading the comics at a slow sort of pace. At issue 126 now if I remember correctly. While I like the comic I do have issues with it. First off the art. The quality and style is amazingly inconsistent at times. It reached an all time low in the Knuckles'/Julie-su love story arc near the end of the Knuckles series. Second the stories often feel a bit too rushed and compact. This seems to happen in part because many issues try to include multiple stories. Sometimes there are as many as three or four and I feel it harms the pacing of the comic.
For what it is though and for how much I complain about the comic to a friend of mine I am very fond of it and it's probably my favorite thing in the Sonic franchise that isn't Sonic 3 and Knuckles. I especially liked the Knuckles series which dealt with many of the pacing issues I was having with the main line during the time when Knuckles the Echidna was being published. I found something rather interesting about the Echidna society though I must say I wonder if the writers have any idea why Locke isn't telling Knuckles shit at times or if it's just some method to buy more time until they can figure shit out for themselves...
I can't wait till I get to the Enerjak Reborn arc. That seems like it could be pretty damn cool.

If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan Chah![]()
Yes it would. I wrote out somewhere, in oddly specific detail, what each characters special moves would be. Antoine proved to be the most difficult if memory serves. I even had a specific art style in mind, but was unable to translate it to paper.
It would be fairly easy for Sonic Team too. Just make small, episodic installments based on various story arcs. Each arc would add new characters, costumes, special moves and such.

There was a Satam game they worked on but scrapped. It looked like a bit of a slow-paced stealth game.
Considering how they can't stay away from rediculous ammounts of speeds in the latest games, it'd be a nice change of pace. No pun intended.
Quest 64 threadHaven't played it yet. I was a wee bit concerned when you mentioned that you liked the more platformy games in the series like CD and Colors. I sort of went "Oh fucking hell I hope it's not like CD level design wise...". The DS game looks very amusing. The soundtrack is all right, the levels look like they will be fun to run through, and apparently Super Sonic is around. The Wii while the more platformy of the two looks fine and dandy too I think. AND SUPER SONIC. Sadly I have no funds with which to purchase either and I desire both. ALAS.
^I want to see that happen now. I WANT TO BE MINA MONGOOSE OR JULIE-SU DAMMIT.

A lot of the plot is clearly influenced by the Archie series. Shade the Echidna is an expy of Julie-Su.

Yep. Though the game is challenging in a good way, if you're good at touch controls. Having a little trouble in the fourth chapter since the monsters are actually pretty difficult.
Anyway, fair enough, Pies. I wouldn't mind it either.
We need Dark Modes more often.

Quest 64 threadThe gameplay's rather bad, though.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. Can anyone go into specifics about the gameplay? I hear it's a turn based RPG. I happen to love and adore those things with great passion, but I haven't really looked too much into the specifics of the combat.

Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. It is turn based, but all special moves require you to play a game using the Touch Controls, via Elite Beat Agents.
That's literally my only problem with the game. Thank god there's different Chao that you equip to solve that problem.
Quest 64 thread

The Archie one. I recently finished the Scourge arc. So awesome.
