Then a ticket based system where, every time a user tries to post a thread, they get entered into a queue for the thread to be created. Mods can browse this queue at their leisure and see who is trying to post what. Possible authorisation necessary for threads with lots of naughty words, but otherwise it'd work.
Don't know how hard this'd be to code, though.
Then no new threads could be created unless the mods were checking the queue right then.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyWouldn't be feasible, and as said, "ilmurovt" was a repeat ban-evader (as are other trolls who keep coming back).

Then trolls would just spam threads that don't include those phrases.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyThe new thread thing is only in force for new people. Hang around long enough that we can guess you're not a Dick, and all is good.
No. Do not even ask "How long is long enough?"
'Long enough' is a scientifically established duration based on the mean length of attention spans for Internet Dicks.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyI feel the need to quote that last sentence somewhere, but I'm not sure where.
Infinite Tree: an experimental story

Am I the only one who doesn't understand the reasoning behind this? Is it to prevent lots of spam threads created at one time?
It's just a bit irritating to be prevented from making a thread for five minutes before having to keep trying to post for another ten minutes after writing out the thread in order to finally get a thread done.
I think a ticket based system would work better (posts after a certain amount of time) or simply removing this post locking system and making it on an individual user basis like other forums (possibly a certain amount of threads per day?). I'm not sure what the reasons for the system are, so I can't suggest changes to it.
Can anyone explain why it is here?
