I feel like the majority of Alina fight and Magius' context is delayed to the next episode because, really, just about everything else is delayed so Sana and Ai-chan's relationship is on the front. I think this is a good decision; otherwise, the 'too many subplots' thing that plagued the anime will spoil the emotional catharsis of the scene.
We already have the setup for the clash between our heroes and Alina from Ai-chan's coordinate-shifting power and the stinger where the rest of the team look for the possible exit door for the Endless Solitude. The next episode would be spent on the rest of the chapter's content.
Was about ready to try buying a few gems when I realized the 8-paid-gem draw is only ONE card, not ten. That's nuts. Not only because of the expense—that's at least a dollar per card—but also, what could you really get from just one additional card per day? Over this whole Madokami event, that's like... 13 total? You can get more than that just from the Hereafter event drops, not counting login bonuses or other things.
You can spend bought gems in sets of 250 as much as you want, presumably, but that's deep whale territory; over $200 to hit the pity timer. I mean, I'd kinda like to support the game a little bit, but gacha-ing doesn't look practical, and that's all they offer... I guess there's those grab bag things, whenever they come back.

Honesly I'm more frugal here then in FEH, usually only spending 1 ticket on most banners and amanging to save up enought pulls that could had gottem me to the fullpity in the wore case scnario inthe U!Madoka banner (I have 140 tickets left so said scenario didn't really happen)
Course it also helps that the game is giving out 20 rolls on the prenium gacha every weekend now. But I doubt that would be a permanent feature.
Yeah, I don't mind tossing a few bucks into something, but gem prices are ridiculous. MR costs $25 for a 252 gems (enough for a 10-pull with two left over). Fuuuuck that noise, even for pushing you over the edge to a pity break. You can spend it more efficiently by doing the once-a-day-8-paid-gem-single-pull, but like ![]()

said, that's not going to help you much on a limited banner.
The only thing that's really worth the money is the Magia Pass thing, which costs like $5 and gives you 32 paid stones immediately then 5 "free" stones a day for 30 days. But again, that takes time, so for "dang I really want to spend a few bucks on this limited banner" you're basically SOL.

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. That pass is pretty much the only thing I buy in terms of this games' mtx. And its mostly to cover most of the cost going into that 10x ticket bundle.
Speaking of which I think I'm at a point where I am considering saving the 10 pull tickets as well.
Meanwhile I'm doing Mayu's MGS to grind some Epsiode points (mostly so that I can max one girl out and replace her with U!Madoka) and I just realized something. Mayu's best friends include a Model and an Idol Singer right? She must be real lucky.
Also Ria seems to have quite a grasp on the situation. Remind me how "What, You got it Wrong" went again?

A Witch stole everyone's most precious things. Because of shenanigans, Asuka thinks that Mayu did it. Ria straightens up the misunderstanding and the three chase after the Witch responsible. Mayu uses her pendant that her deceased father made for her to bait the Witch and take everything back to their owners. Mayu lost the pendant in the chaos, but that's okay cause the precious thing is the memory she made along the way.
Makes sense.
On another note. I finished Mayu's story and got a new memoria and some mats (forgot that she cameoed in the anime).
I'm prolly gonna see if I can get Mayu or Glitchwave Tsuruno to 5 before Felicia's uncap and then regardless of what happens have Felicia and U!Madoka be the girls to train (okay, mostly the latter).
Yeah, it seems the magia pass is really the only worthwhile thing for "dolphin" players. $4 for (eventually) ten rolls is a lot better than $25. Might get that a couple of times to replenish my stockpile a bit. Even that one seems a bit weak, though; just from login bonuses and the daily missions, you can get like 500 gems a month, compared to the 150 (free, and 32 paid) from that pass.
Yeah, that's my complaint, really. There's no good option for "crap, I need to make another couple 10-pulls". It's either "have spent $4 a month ago" (if we knew events that far in advance I'd just save my free gems!) or "spend $25 for one immediate 10-pull" which is a bullshit price given that a 10-pull doesn't guarantee you a goddamn thing.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Mainly I'd just prefer the now-antiquated style where you just... buy a game, and then play it. Or pay a subscription fee (which this sort of has with the magia pass, but it's optional). The mobile game model does allow people to play for free, but by riding on the backs of whales, who are developing a gambling addiction but do get big gameplay advantages in return, which is good for them and unfair for everyone else.
Ultimately they're going to keep making games this way as long as it remains legal, because it apparently makes more money. This one is relatively generous with free draws, at least. I don't really get why anyone would spend hundreds or thousands of dollars for a slightly higher Mirrors rank, but I guess app developers understand that subset of gamers better than me.

Honesty I'm kinda hoping for for a more traditional adaptation of the game's story as another game or a spinoff like Fate/Extella, partly because I'm not exactly sure if the game would be preserved after the service ends, and because if they're not goign the straight adaptation route, then it could use For Want Of A Nail to explore what would happen if things happened differently.
Plus a spinoff might have more localization chances than say, Portable or Battle Pentagram.

I bet its a case of analysis finding people would be less inclined to spend money on a game if they knew they could just purchase the story once off in the future.
Because when it comes to mobile games I've often thought how much I'd prefer being able to pay for the whole thing later to just get the story without the endless grinding and gacha.
Edited by 32ndfreeze on Mar 1st 2020 at 11:34:56 PM
I don't really know how the game could be preserved. The only instance of gacha game with massive narrative attached to it is FGO and Granblue, and they're not going anywhere yet. I heard some seasonal anime mobage that went out of service had made their game offline, but I don't really know the detail.
I do hope that we get a legit free-roaming MagiReco game cause Kamihama concept is great. We have a very detailed map, minor groups and relation networks, backstory wars, future wars shaping out in later plot. You can basically make Persona or Yakuza game out of MagiReco's worldbuilding.
I did talk with rikaous about a Persona crossover once.
But anyway, I was thinking the setting might also have potential for a Fighting Game, Hack and Slash (though Battle Pentagram did set precedent) and even a Strategy RPG a la Fire Emblem or Disgaea
On a slightly different topic, apparently orchestras allow cosplay in some circumstances.
Speaking of which, I found out that the Daito team's event (in NA) was named after an
Image Song. Or it could be a weird coincidence, but then again it might also be a coicedence that game mechanics were named after the original anime's OP and ED.
Edited by MorningStar1337 on Mar 1st 2020 at 6:40:20 AM
Probably none of those are coincidental. The JP event was called "bai bai, mata ashita" but the second part still matches, and the background art for the song has 3 girls with the same colors as those in the event (blue, green, and red/pink). That song is also an ending theme for the first two episodes, it just wasn't in the broadcast version.
Alright then.
BTW, I'm now actually wondering how a Blaz Blue crossover might work since both works seem to revolve around time loops (at least initially).
There's a big difference between a loop that last a month and one that lasts a century
Bewitching EyesAw...
Alright I did the new another Story chapter and damn was that thing long, (worth it to see the Holy Quintet back together, but still).
BTW I think that the anime might cover a chater with 2 eps each, but that leaves 3 pairs left over, which I think would be enough for...
- Hereafter
- Leaving the Nest or Dreaming Sakura
- and possibly From New Breath
What do you think? (I'm assuming subsequent seasons would start with adapting Crimson Resolve and move on to Part 2)

Well...that's disappointing. Guess its a good thing the latter also comes with U!Madoka and F!Tsuruno reruns
