Trapped in a never ending hell of her own making, where the words of others have no effect(due to her not really trying to talk to anyone else, and actively ignoring them in some cases), doing the same thing over and over again?
I said before that Homura is kinda standing still while everyone else moves forward (even always dies Sayaka), but now I see the truth.

One Strip! One Strip!Metaphorically, maybe, but only as far as the anime is concerned. In the world created by Madoka, that would no longer be true since she seemed more-or-less fine (all things considered) until Kyubey decided to fuck shit up.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Well, yeah, I should have said Metaphorically.
I'm annoyed I didn't think of it sooner.
One Strip! One Strip!I think Homura may have actually fallen victim to the same thing Sayaka did. Homura's wish was to save Madoka when what she actually wanted was to be with Madoka. Likewise, Sayaka's wish was to "save" Kamijou when what she really wanted was to be with Kamijou.
Really, Kyouko and Mami were right. You should not waste your wish on someone else because it will only end badly for you.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Kind of ironic then when you see how they can't stand each other.
I'm not sure if Sayaka ever realized it (though perhaps she did after becoming an Angel Secretary, hence her nicer attitude to Homura in Rebellion), but I don't Homura ever realized it. I just never got the feeling she was much for introspection.
One Strip! One Strip!Too much introspection probably would have seen her witching out pre-Madokami. A lot of the fucked-up-ness of Homura's personality is gangbusters for surviving in the witch-verse. Just not, you know, accomplishing her goals.

And that's why, as Madoka figured out, you wish for something that lets you save people and hug the hell out of them.
I could probably argue that Poor Communication Kills has a major role in the plot, partly because Kyubey is jerk enough to not say anything about certain details if the girl don't ask, partly because the girls don't explain stuff to each other properly.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! Most of the poor communication stems from Homura having terrible people skills, which is a valid character trait. The biggest non-Homura moment was Madoka not telling Sayaka that Homura was a little tied up at the moment when Mami was Mamied. And well, Madoka had other things on her mind until the subject came up, and then Sayaka was acting like an idiot and wouldn't have changed anything even if she did know.
In the anime, maybe, but we were talking about The Rebellion Story.
And even then, Kyubey aside, I'm not sure what could have been avoided with better communication. Homura doesn't tell anyone anything because she knows that they won't believe her, Mami still would have died, Sayaka and Kyouko still would have fought, Sayaka would have still become a Witch, and Kyouko would have still sacrificed herself to kill Oktavian.
Remember that, in Sayaka's case, if she contracts to heal Kamijou's hand then she will turn into a Witch. Ultimate Madoka couldn't find any way to avoid that.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! The thing about Poor Communication Kills, and often even Idiot Plot, is that it happens all the damn time in real life, but for some reason we tend to expect fictional characters to be perfectly rational and always think and discuss before acting.
This idea that Sayaka hates Homura because she thinks the latter let Mami die... it makes sense, but I can't remember any direct statement of it (I guess that part where she beats her first witch and criticizes Homura for being late?) and the first I heard about it was literally yesterday. I don't think it's implausible that Madoka didn't pick up on that. And Sayaka points the vast majority of her righteous rage at Kyouko anyway.
For Rebellion, there's the question of "why don't they just tell Homura she's a witch." Well, for one thing, she probably wouldn't believe it unless she figured it out herself; attempting to spell it out for her could make her retreat further into the illusion. And on a somewhat darker note, Madokami probably couldn't do anything until she truly turned into a witch instead of some weird pseudo-witch thing, so they had to wait around and/or provoke her until that happened (this helps explain why Sayaka tries to terrorize her as soon as they're alone together).
Sayaka didn't try to terrorize her. She was trying to explain as best she could without giving away too much (since Kyuubey was watching and they couldn't reveal they were aware of what he was doing, or the plan would go tits up. Hell, she subtly gives Homura a clue as to what was going on (that the latter had become a witch) by pointing out that said Barrier was uncharacteristically harmless, and you get the feeling that Homura only didn't listen due to her already understandable disdain for Sayaka, combined with the fact that Homura really isn't someone to change directions in any way, shape or form once she makes a decision. I'm firmly convinced that if Sayaka could have explained everything, she would have (though I also believe that she would have had a little fun with Homura as light hearted revenge for their previous encounters.
One Strip! One Strip! Not sure if this was posted here before, but here you go.

If it includes the MadoHomu, I may just have to take a peak at it.
It does. It so does. But mostly fluff. It's called Puella Magi Yuuko Magica.
In fact, the cover is my avatar. Made it myself.

*reads a bit*
Her name is Homura, not Houmura (which is equivalent to having that line over the o). The only ones whose names were changed like that are Kyouko and Kyuubey (and in his case, since it's not actually a Japanese word but rather short for "Incubator", it gets a pass).
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!...
What.
You don't just go changing the name of a character because you felt like it.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Houmura doesn't mean anything. The closest word is 葬る (houmuru) meaning "to bury, to inter, to entomb, to consign to oblivion, to shelve".
And again, you don't change the name of a character in a serious work for the sake of a pun. That's just- Oh god.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!As far as I can tell, "irregular law" is 「不規則な法律」 (fukisoku na houritsu).
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I just realized where I got it from. I think I was tired at the time, and writing their names in kana. The first part, written alone, "ほう", when I looked it up in my dictionary, meant "law". The second part, meant "village" if written in kanji, but "uneven" or "Irregular" in hiragana.
Put together, they mean. .. gibberish. Dissected, not so much. Wow, I must have been tired. My grandpa laughed at my explanation, and said I need to stop playing around and ask him next time.
.... though, I do recall Kyūbey calling her an irregularity, so it probably came from that. My reason for doing such an inane thing.

True, but we all know how messed up Homura is. Of course, anyone would be if they trapped themselves in a never ending Hell for about eight or so years.
