Said justification would be the desire to create a Red Herring. It may not be a mystery series, but plot twists are still valuable
Also; Liveblog update
Fucked up? I don't see it.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Now this one is both hilarious and disturbing...
Also, revenge never tasted so sweet.

GUNDAMU GUNDAMUI saw one comic (I wish I could find it) which treated Madoka Magica as a live-action series. Charlotte's lair was a soundstage, and Homura was handing Mami a towel to wipe off the stage blood and melted sugar after her big death scene. Sayaka says she wants to make as big an impression as Mami; Mami replies that she'll need to go out with a bang, which Sayaka isn't too happy about...
Considering that it's the only piece of fanart I've seen that actually works as Nightmare Retardant, I'm rather frantically searching for it.

I think I know why Mami and Homura are both so hostile towards each other now.
^^^I generally like setups like that - Animated Actors, isn't it? Not in this case, though.

It's been fun.I love all the Hidamari Sketch related fanart out there.
Also, Condom-chan's seiyuu is apparently Nonaka Ai. I was so banking for Asumi Kana so my Chidamari Sketch dreams would've come true.

nishishishi~ Nii-nii no baka... .__.@Signed on last page: At this point I'm actually thinking that the situation with Kyubey is going to turn out to be pretty straightforward. He doesn't have any sinister ulterior motives; he's always been very up-front with Madoka and Sayaka and sympathetic towards their situation.
His only problem is that he's stuck in the wrong kind of series. We wouldn't have thought twice about him in Cardcaptor Sakura, but when magical girls can actually die and sometimes even kill each other over good witch-hunting spots, he approaches recruiting little girls to fight eldritch horrors a leeetle too casually.
Please be gentle with me.You know, I'm curious about what's going to happen with Hitomi now that she's involved. I mean, the others could try to explain the Suicide Pact away as a dream, but would she really buy that?

Ah, but Mephistopheles didn't have a hidden agenda either. He straight up tells Faust that he'll grant any wish of his if he gets to carry his ass to hell when he experiences a moment of perfect happiness. Kyubey offers wishes in exchange for service as a magical girl; rough parity achieved.
Though I doubt Urobuchi is going to let Goethe's story constrain him. (That'd mean Madoka being saved out of magical girlship by Deus ex Machina and falling magic rose petals turning Kyubey gay for angels, for one.) He's just borrowing themes and elements he likes.

Please be gentle with me.Gah. I hate shows like this. I hate shows of pain, woe, misery, and gruesome deaths.
And this show is doing all that too well.
Which means, it's a great show. After all, better a show which evokes viceral hate than a show I just kind-of like, or that I hate for quality reasons...
Anyways, I'm watching the rest of this. A Magical Girl Deconstruction like this would be invaluable for my anime files, and the dementedly-pretty visuals and music are great, too.
...Next year, though, I want my Magical Girl Reconstruction series.
And for now, I have to figure out how to get a good night's sleep after watching Episode 3...
Edit: *after looking at the various fanart posted above* Yeah, that works. Nothing like f*****-up fanart to counteract an f*****-up show.

Awww....all we can do until thursday is make some wild mass speculations...
I think Mami is going to die...somehow.
And Madoka will use her wish to do something about it...
