Why do you think of that?
Doctor Who is more well-known, so it comes to mind first. Just saying.
re:journey through the multiverse: eh? Gokaiger? Where the hell was there any refere- <goes back and reads> wait, was 'Red Pirates' the reference? I didn't realize the Gokaigers even had a name for themselves as a crew other than Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.
No. Red Pirates was the name of the three-man crew Marvelous used to be on before one of them pulled a Face–Heel Turn and the other pulled a Heroic Sacrifice.
Basically the Red Pirates for this fanfic are Dai-Zangyack... You know what that means...

So, I just wrote my first crossover... between My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and The Doors.
Ladies and gentlemen, Midnight Rambler presents: Horse Latitudes
So about three weeks ago I decided that letting my most ambitious work ever be a round-robin with the content of the story provided by the posts of other players just wasn't working. The fact that the last chapter was put up in 2010 and the player whose turn it was showed no interest since halfway through 2011 is telling.
After scaring the crap out of one of the players—all of whom I'll still credit for their characters—by using the Mass Effect meme, I've retaken sole authorial control of it and have been pecking away at that final Mahorafest chapter for, eh.... a while. -Checks- Over a month. Now I've got nobody but my own laziness to blame.
Been sort of pecking at and rearranging the tropes page for it to try to get back into the mood, but I have the most fickle mood for writing ever.
So uh....here, have a brief excerpt.
The wild child shook his head. “Nope. But hey, all the more merrier, right? Let’s do this!”
He immediately took off after the strange cloaked man, leaving the two girls staring in their wake. A thump to Asuna’s right drew her attention once more, to find that Negi had finally showed up. His expression was troubled, obviously unhappy that his students were putting themselves at risk to fight the greater demon.
“About time you got here, Negi!” Asuna grinned, clapping the boy on his shoulder with her free hand.
“Asuna-san, please have everyone get back and-”
He never finished his words. Dropping her blade to the street with a loud clatter, she gripped him by the front of his robes with both hands and hauled him up until he was at eye level with her. “Don’t you even say it, Negi!” she growled. “Everyone has been putting their all into this for hours, so don’t you think you can come in here and tell us not to keep helping! Like it or not, we’re going to help you take that thing down! Now let’s get over there and beat it!”
The boy mage quivered for a moment, looking as though he wished to press the point further. From behind Asuna, Haruna grinned and shook her head. “Face it, Negi-kun, she’s right for once. You can’t go around expecting people to fight for you when it’s convenient, then tell them to back off when you want.”
Negi sighed. “You’re right, of course. I just don’t want to see anyone getting hurt on account of me.”
Smiling, Asuna set him back on the ground and dusted his shoulders. “We know that, dummy. But don’t worry about it. Everything’s going to be fine. You’ll see.”
Nodding, he maneuvered his staff into position and then seated himself on it, leaving room for the two girls to climb on before he lifted into the air and took off to join the pursuit of the dragon demon.
One thing that I'd like to see is a crossover between Sailor Moon and the Persona series. I personally think that the concept could be well done (and, given that a remake of Sailor Moon will be airing sometime later this year, the changes that may need to be made to their relative timelines may not be all that difficult, especially if said remake is set circa 2013 (Persona 3 and 4 are set in, respectively, 2009-10 and 2011-12)).
Unfortunately, I've only encountered one such crossover on Fan Fiction Net, and it...wasn't very good. I would honestly LOVE to see this currently sorry state of affairs change for the better!

Hey guys, I don't suppose you can help me? It seems I can't find any entertaining crossovers as of late, or any of the ones I DO know haven't updated in a while.
Now, I'm not looking for something serious or actually decent (although it'd be welcome), but just something entertaining, whether it is So Bad, It's Good or a Crack Fic or simply a comedy that's genuinely funny. Any suggestions?
Hm... I'm not sure if my fanfics would do, since they tend to get pretty serious. Like Puller Mage Scout Magica
, where the first chapter or two are funny, but after that there's almost always a lingering sense of darkness to it.
So instead, I'll submit this list
. You might find some cracky Film Fic ideas.
I can only do Kamen Rider crossovers, I'm not sure if yer a toku fan, but maybe my stories may entertain ya http://www.fanfiction.net/~strangerdenb4
Two with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, one with Street Fighter, one with Mass Effect 3, and one with Capcom; this one is on hiatus since I need to think of a coherent plot.
Trying to rename it to Toei x Capcom, but storywise... No dice ^^;
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.To my great surprise, there are no fics for Harry Dresden, Wizard Of Oz.
That’s the epitome of privilege right there, not considering armed nazis a threat to your life. - SilaswA crossover between all of Christopher Nolan's movies, putting them all into a cohesive universe.
The premise (based on a WMG I posted once) is that it's an alternate timeline that was identical to ours until the 1800s, when Nikola Tesla's inventions advanced technology by about a century, leading to the development of everything from indestructible Tumbler tanks, to cell-phone based sonar, to hovercrafts, to human replication devices, to dream-sharing technology. And I'd tell a story tying all of them together.
Start off with recently retired Gotham detective Robin J. Blake leaving his native city for a few years of Walking the Earth, and have him encounter (let's say) a cult of master illusionists founded by the stage magician Alfred Borden at war with the remnants of the League of Shadows, and finding out about a plot by the League of Shadows to use dream-sharing on the leaders of United States to push them into a nuclear war.
Over the course of the story, he could receive training in the art of theatricality and illusion from the stage magicians, leading to him finally adopting the mantle of "Nightwing" by the end (maybe based on stories about a Victorian stage magician with a similar stage persona), use dream-sharing to get inside the Joker's head and finally get some clues about what made him the madman he is today, and maybe have an encounter with a tattoo-covered amnesiac locked in Arkham.
