"The Meek Shall Inherit" -> "Downtown" Now there's some mood whiplash for you.
My wife does this without shuffle. I'll be listening to her playlist and it'll jump from heavy metal to classical to 80s pop and then over to punk. There is no central theme, there is just shit she likes in whatever order she decides.
But soft! What rock through yonder window breaks? It is a brick! And Juliet is out cold.Taylor Swift's "Mean" going to the reprise of "Mother Knows Best" from Tangled.
Looking for some stories?I go from 'Wrapped in Black' to 'That Old Black Magic', amazingly enough.
And then from "No One Mourns the Wicked" to 'Love in an Elevator'.
Soon after, a song from Chalk Zone followed by 'Sex, Drugs, and Violence'.
I have the best, most coherent collection of music.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I've gone from a really upbeat, triumphant song to "Not In Blood, But In Bond"
from the Sherlock Holmes movie's soundtrack. The former concluded with a grandiose, orchestral "TA-DA," only to be followed a moment later by what can only be described as the death wail of a violin. It was Letting the Air out of the Band writ large, and made me laugh out loud, to the confusion of my roommate.

"And every life is a special story of its own." —The Stargazer, Mass Effect 3

This is always fun. My shuffler segued from "Ya Never Know" to "Mean Green Mother From Outer Space". The former is a cheerful song. The latter is also a cheerful song, but it's evil and homocidial. This kind of Mood Whiplash is really fun.
I'm feeling strangely happy now, contented and serene. Oh don't you see, finally I'll be, somewhere that's green...
