Hehe, it is proper indeed! For students tend to consider whoever if in charge of their grades a merciless, vile, implacable Evil Overlord out for their doom=)
If we disagree, that much, at least, we have in commonThe sole redeeming feature of prequels is Jar Jar Binks. Yes, I said it. (hides under te table)

If we disagree, that much, at least, we have in commonI have never, ever seen anyone express that opinion. But as they say...
The Imperial March is pretty badass, admittedly. I listen to it sometimes in the car, to prepare myself for my work shift.
no one will notice that I changed thisThis would be the best national anthem.
Ever.
Oh, and
: What. Jar Jar was not funny.

Quite a few of the characters this one likes are considered The Scrappy by many. Guess that's my fate. Or weird taste=)
Drakyndra, I am your father!
Quite honestly, I kinda prefer Rufus' Welcoming Ceremony
from Final Fantasy VII, as far as marches for evil organisations go.
However, Imperial March is one of the best leitmotifs ever put on film. John Williams is a genius.
That version has a little part that i always listen for in the original trilogy, and never hear.

Pages Needing ImagesWho hasn't thought of this while listening to the Imperial March? Especially after watching the last scene of the first (fourth) movie.

I will now forever associate the Imperial March with SFC Brooks from my AIT battery. He would whistle it when on the hunt for privates to mess up for doing something wrong. He is by far the meanest NCO we have here, and yet one of, if not the, best NC Os we have.
At least he has a sense of humor, judging by his choice in music. Though I guess he could get a similar effect by announcing his approach with the banjo song from Deliverance.
I think the Attack of The Clones version of the Imperial March was the best presentation of the song in the movies only because it hammered home the fact that, no matter how that battle went, and no matter how much it seemed like the heroes just won, that this was just another big step towards The Empire that we know is running the show in the original trilogy. Sort of a "Hey Audience, you know those badass troopers who you just cheered for because they pulled a Gunship Rescue and pulled the Jedi's robes out of the fire? YOU ARE CHEERING FOR THE BAD GUYS, YOU JERKS!"
The prequel trilogy did have two other great songs: Duel of the Fates, which by the second film I at least had come to associate with an impending "Oh, Crap!" moment (you KNOW Anakin is about to do a Very Bad Thing(TM) when you hear that in eps II and III), and the Trade Federation's march from the first prequel (the perfect music to march into a conquered city to). Neither is as epic or iconic as the Imperial March, of course. Fitting, as both tunes were the Lietmotifs for factions or players who got dispatched by Anakin Skywalker (well, the Federation got offed by Darth Vader, if you look at it form a Certain Point Of View).
