Don't forget Denpa Onna, which was pretty weird. Dororon is bizarre, though not really mind screwy. Nichijou is slice of life, but feeds off of WTF-ness.
Tumblr here. And you guys are forgeting the biggest WTF-inducing of this season, Ore-Tachi Ni Tsubasa Wa Nai.

You're both wrong. It was Ikki Tousen.
For my part, there are a lot of shows that turned out better than I expected, but so far Steins;Gate and Deadman Wonderland are the only two where I am genuinely looking forward to the next episode.
Guys, guys, we can't go arguing like this... Especially since everyone knows Sengoku Basara is the most accurate one.
While we're on the subject of Hyouge Mono (shut up, we totally still are), I'm sure many must've have noticed the
similarity
between these two O Ps.
Agree there there is alot of good shows this season.
We should get a crowner attached to the thread on fav anime of the season now that we are in ep 3 or 4. Don't know how to make one though.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Well, to be fair DW had that schtick before the others. But if I had to guess, I'd say it's probably because the world economy is still in a bit of a pinch and recent events certainly haven't helped that.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialMoshidora looks to be a Love It or Hate It thing.
Imoutos are the best! Follow at your own risk. Tumblr.^ I gave up after the third episode. It's a very boring show (not helped by featuring baseball, the mainstream sport I care the least about), with barely adequate production values (the character designs are so generic I can hardly distinguish between the players !) that never lets you forget it's a by-the-numbers adaptation of a light novel.
The third episode concludes in such a way that it convinced me I didn't need to watch anymore of it.
I don't hate it. I just don't care. (Which pains me a bit, because I'm an easy mark for sports series — I enjoyed Giant Killing and its Padding of Doom, for gods' sake !)
Also a lo of Les Yay, and I'd like to add it to the "money tend" too. (although it's more about business strategy than money per se)
It's hardly a masterpiece, but I think it's enjoyable enough.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntI've written down some of the things in Moshidora. Might come handy in the future.
Imoutos are the best! Follow at your own risk. Tumblr.I think it's more So OK, It's Average than Love It or Hate It. I'm really liking it, and would have like it having more episodes, or being broadcasted once a week, instead of on a daily basis.
I've only seen two of the new shows so far, but they've both been pretty good, especially production-wise. Yondemasu Yo, Azazel-san and Ao no Exorcist both had good first episodes, here's to hoping for consistency.
Also, I hate to be the person who asks how the anime stacks up against the manga, but how is Deadman Wonderland doing? I haven't always been happy with Deadman's narration/overall progress plot-wise, so how is it? O:

So far, 3 episodes in, Deadman Wonderland has been a lot of fun. Sure, the premise is stupid and over-the-top, but that's the idea anyway. The pacing has been pretty good, relentlessly challenging Ganta and the viewer, without letting time for Fridge Logic to set in (like, why does nobody care about Shiro ? Don't answer that).
As far as brainless thrillers go, it's shaping up to be a pretty good one.

[C] was WTF, Stein;s Gate was slightly less WTF, Tiger And Bunny was pretty strange too, yeah I guess you're right.
You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat!
