Megan, partially distracted by the still-burning sensation in her throat from her bizarro burrito, started responding after a moment.
"Sorry about showing up uninvited and unannounced. I'm not totally sure how I got here. The name's Megan, by the way. I... well, I basically lounge around until someone gives me a contract, then I go hunt whatever absurdly dangerous creature they require. Oh, and I can do this," she said. As she finished, she stretched out her left arm, as pale blue wisps of draconic energies, looking similar to smoke, curled off of her arm. "Still haven't quite figured out what that does, though. So, what are your names?"
"The Stick has sentimental value. It's like an enormous, hideous teddy bear we can kill things with." -rikalousMegan relaxed slightly, feeling less like an unwelcome intruder now. Bluff successful, she thought to herself. Now, let's see what kind of plans they've got. If nothing else, this will be a pleasant break from hunting things all the time.
"What's the plan then?" she said. "Are we going to just hang here for a while? Whatever you have in mind, I'll roll with. I didn't have any plans today anyways, and it would at least be nice to get to talk to some new people, if nothing else."

"The Stick has sentimental value. It's like an enormous, hideous teddy bear we can kill things with." -rikalous"It's definitely a strange place, from the little I saw before I... somehow ended up here," Megan said. She was trying to figure out how to phrase her little bluff so she wouldn't be found out yet. She would reveal her activities when it suited her, but she was starting to like this group. So, no reveals just yet.
"The Stick has sentimental value. It's like an enormous, hideous teddy bear we can kill things with." -rikalousMegan had taken out her second, equally-strange Bizarro Burrito, and had already started eating it by the time Natalia took the knife out of her pocket and mentioned the abandoned town. She coughed a bit at the sight of the knife, not expecting it in the slightest.
Those fucks at the Council better not have put me THAT CLOSE to the Ruins. They know how poorly I function with those memories around, she thought to herself. She finished her bite, and said, "Abandoned town? That's a bit... odd... what kind of state was it in?" She was almost praying in her mind that Natalia didn't say 'burned and collapsed'.

"The Stick has sentimental value. It's like an enormous, hideous teddy bear we can kill things with." -rikalous"Well, the town was very depressing and run down, with brown and grey decor. No dust in the houses, though. And after the sun set..." Natalia shudders a tiny bit. "Apparitions had appeared."
She then turns to Daydre and let's out a small sigh. "I did have a sheath, but I misplaced it."

Something something Arena.Megan hadn't noticed until just now, but she had been tensing up. She relaxed, slowly, trying to not make it too visible. Phew... I guess they do listen after all, she thought. This must be around one of the witch-towers or something from back in the day, then. That's not so bad, compared to... there. She didn't even want to think of the name of the town. It had been years, but the wounds still felt fresh on her soul. She turned her thoughts to the present, so as to not re-open said wounds — at least, not yet.
"Hmm... That's kind of weird. I wonder what else is in there...?," Megan said, not meaning anything by it.

"The Stick has sentimental value. It's like an enormous, hideous teddy bear we can kill things with." -rikalous"Yup. Exactly like ghosts." Upon Daydre mentioning buying a new sheath, Natalia smiles. "That sounds like fun."
She then turns to Megan. "I wanted to at least find out the name of the town, but we had to bail once one of the people in the group suddenly sprouted wings and passed out. It would be neat to head back there someday, though."
Something something Arena.

Megan, being Megan, had forgotten that "Enhanced Senses" meant all of her senses. Namely, her mouth now felt like it was engulfed in flames from the sheer spicyness of her food. Quickly shutting her senses back to normal, she realized that several of rhe others had noticed her. Ah hell, she thought. Better make a strong impression.
"... Heyo?", said Megan, sheepishly.
Nailed It.
