I heard making them now, regardless of content, could put you at risk for a forum ban.

C/D?

The primary rule has always been against contentless slowclones - that is, threads created for the sake of the snowclone alone. And bans aren't handed out until you repeatedly demonstrate your inability to comprehend this idea.

Snowclone? I just read the definition for the term over at The Other Wiki, but I'm not sure I understand the context here.

[up] Replace "thread" with "trope" and you'll have the gist of it.

First thread: "I hate grapes". Second thread: "I hate apes". Third thread: "I ate snapes". Etc.

@5: The rule is on the forums, for snowclone threads. New tropes should be going through YKTTW which will help rule out unnecessary snowclones, there's no specific rule about it.

Guidelines for snowcloning article titles, for trope pages are listed as Everythings Worse With Snowclones (itself a snowcloned title).

Yes. But you don't get forum banned for snowcloning trope pages. That'd be a bit silly.

Thanks for posting the link to the Everythings Worse With Snowclones. That makes it all completely clear.
