Well, I didn't expect Radiant to get a second season, but it did, so who knows.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Kevin Penkin is doing the soundtrack.

Working on cleaning up List of Shows That Need SummaryRachel is the one who narrated the end right? I'm amused how the way she described the story made her out to be the more important character, how cheeky
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysSo this will be coming out on April 1, if I remember the initial trailer correctly.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Damn tmmr.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."So, to add to this, the anime has arrived to a lot of hype (actually more then I thought) and the first episode proved to be somewhat divisive from what I've seen, for both webtoon readers and new eyes alike.
Main thing everyone seems to agree on is that the OST is great. Everything else, well, lots of opinions abound.
I personally really like the artstyle and the animation isn't bad technically, so thats a plus in my book and makes it stand out a bit. Main worry for me right now is the pacing, which is very fast. While I think some of the cuts actually improved the story, it also introduced some weakpoints for the plot that weren't there in the original (like the context of Yuris 'cute face' line being evry different).
But in general I am hopeful that we will get a competent adaption and enough positive feedback that it will move forward (and maybe get the budget to adapt at an slightly better pace).
I've never read the comic myself so I'll be going in blind. Unfortunately I don't have Premium Crunchyroll so I'm just waiting.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I thought the pacing was ok. The cut out bits feel like flashback material so we might see them later. The art choice is interesting and distinctive enough. Can't wait to see how it pans out later. Liked the ost.
“You can’t be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and embarrassment to others.” -Mark Manson.I personally am liking this so far, having not read the manga much
I am marathon reading the webcomic. I like it but it is very lazy with drawing backgrounds, and confusing about movement. Like, sometimes two characters speak from a distance, then are fighting close and I can't tell who moved.
These are things an anime adaptation can make better.
I've been enjoying the anime so far.
I though episode 4 in particular was great.
It's also got me catching up on the series.
Last time I read it I caught up to the Hell Train arc, but that was about five years ago.
So lots of comic for me to get though!
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobI like the art direction and the soundtrack. I think they capture the larger-than-life feeling the webtoon has. Hope they can integrate some of the better visuals from later on.
“You can’t be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and embarrassment to others.” -Mark Manson.Man. The anime is really reminding me just how good the early arcs were. And it makes me want to go back a re-read subsequent arcs, because of how much I'm realizing I'd forgotten.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."I'm both looking forward to Akraptor all over again. And dreading.
I do love Mr Poppins.
>Tower of God and "Fuck Rachel" is trending, I wonder why.
>Checks tag.
Ahh, that explains it.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I think I can guess.
And, they've yet to get to her really being extraordinarily painful.
Two questions:
- Is Saori Hayami's role as Rachel a case of Playing Against Type?
- What are the chances of this show getting a Season 2? I've seen reviews that aren't kind to the anime but I really want a Season 2.
Is Kevin part Japanese because this is kinda big a non Japanese composer doing the ost.
Mileena MadnessWe really don't know. Like it seems to have gotten the kinds of viewership numbers that would lead one to expect a second season, but it's using a whole new and untested business model, so there's really no way to know what'll happen.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."According to his VGMO interview, he just lucked out when he sent out a demo reel for potential employers and his career blew up from there.
also him getting the presumable seal of approval from Nobuo Uematsu on his very first job probably helped
So what is the general consensus among webtoon readers on how well this series was adapted?
Not bad. The compromises made with the art style due to how SIU developed over time make loads of sense.
They've yet to hit the really knotty bits of the plot, so there wasn't too much to have to adapt for pacing there. Yet.
Good casting, mainly.
Yes, even Rachel.
Damn, but Rachel is actually a wonderful role to show range in, when you think about it. Especially should more seasons get made.
I noticed that too, but I kinda like it. There's a certain, I dunno, flatness? Which makes it distinct. It's accurate to what I remember of Part 1's artstyle, at the very least.
(Which was eight years ago going by my comment on the first page of this thread, jeez.)
But I doubt we'll get farther than Part 1 unless this turns out to be a big hit.
