I made this in the wee hours after I realized I couldn't sleep.
Hey guys, it's been a while since I last put up my music. On this track I was experimenting with a Church Organ vst, along with a delay effect plugin on a bass guitar. I wish I could have given the pianos a little more presence, but otherwise I'm happy with how the beat came out. There's a very spacey, contemplative feel to it.

BTW; I've been downloading tons of plugins from a website called http://www.vst4free.com/
This is where I got that Church Organ vst from.
So recently I remixed Gangnam Style while at the same time channeling Merzbow (don't ask), here's the result : PSY - Gangnam Style (Zwei Kreise "Black Demonica" Version)
Originally made after a bet with a producer friend of mine (the bet being to remix this song using a shitty mp3 version of it as a sound source and nothing else).
You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here.
That was pretty cool.
I put together a themed compilation of (mostly) previously released material - Talking Songs, Volume 1
is pretty much what it sounds like. I tend to put one or two tracks featuring spoken word on my albums, and people seem to like those, so I decided to put them all together. About half of these are based around "found poetry": "MRI" is a two-page note that once blew into my driveway, "Missed Connections" is selected posts from the titular section of Craigslist, "FAQ" was made with a random sentence generator
, and "Excelsior, America!" is just a list of my friends' favorite words (and some of my own). The rest are all my own words.

My main Soundcloud account, where I post mashups.

My secondary Soundcloud account, where I post experimental serious music.
mashup
I've done a few months ago and just now went around to publishing it. It combines Soilwork's "This Momentary Bliss" and Demon Hunter's "My Destiny", they go along pretty well. Also, go ahead and take the obligatory Sorairo Days x Gale
mashup I've done around a year ago.
Also, I wanted to do more sample-driven music these days, and some folks here have a lot of experience in this, I see. How do you do to make the source material fit well in a completely different mix? Looks like a nightmare cramming a full-instrumented song into another song.
No regret shall pass over the threshold! Not really. That was just one example. It's pretty much all about finding out what sounds good together. Sometimes you may have to use EQs or other filters, or pitch things up or down, but you can find a good sample pretty much anywhere.
Take this track.
The main vocal samples are taken from here
, but I used filters and EQs to make the vocals the most prominent. I did the same for other vox (two of them were a acapellas, though) and I did different things for instrumental samples.
Another thing you can do is use Gratuitous Panning to your advantage; if there's a sample in, say, the left channel that you wanna isolate or get rid of, just make the right channel mono and there you go.
Basically there's a ton of ways to make sample-heavy music; it's all in how you go about it.
Though, for some inspiration, you might wanna check out The Avalanches' Since I Left You if you haven't already.

Do not spare the feelings of those who would not spare yours.I guess I had a musically prolific enough year last year that there's at least one song that I had almost no recollection of making
, and never uploaded anyplace until just now. I know there was a brief period where I entertained the idea of just titling all the songs on an album after the date I completed them, so "102914" = October 29, 2014.

Excellent collab. You and your MC work really well off of each other. Some tracks remind me of the Knuckles levels music in Sonic Adventure 2 (and this is a compliment in my book, I really like these tracks) : very chill cloud rap with a kind of smokey-voiced MC.
Very cool, in other words
Video for the promo single for my first EP, which can be found right here

Sounds pretty solid.
