"Overseas" comes to mind.

My Games and Asset PacksI have an N.G.O. Superpower that whose founder(s) had been inspired by T. E. Lawrence's role in aiding the Arab Revolt against the yoke of Ottoman rule, and seek to apply it on a much grander scope by aiding the various countries suffering the yoke of neocolonialism and modern imperialism, whether through providing much-needed tech that the developed countries' governments and corporations are jealously keeping for themselves in order to maintain the exploitative nature of their relationship with the victimized countries, sabotaging attempts by a superpower/regional power to exploitatively influence a weaker country, assassinating tyrants and demagogues that are propped up by a superpower, etc. The connection to Lawrence is deliberately played up through the moniker of the mysterious leader (who may be in fact not even be a single individual): "Lawson", literally meaning "son of Lawrence".
Now, I need a good name for this organization — two, actually: one that's exclusively internal in use, and the other being a codename that their enemies label it with as after deducing that there's probably a single actor behind the seemingly coincidental string of sabotaging of many of their operations and plans, but being frustrated by the consistent failure to dig up any concrete information about the culprit(s) (they didn't even bother to identify themselves or claim responsibility for their actions; they care nothing for any publicity for themselves). Maybe even more than one for the latter, since I doubt everyone will use the same codename (NATO logically would, but Russia and China for example most probably wouldn't be cooperating much for one reason or the other).
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. All right, I need a name for a chapter of a WWII Alternate History webnovel.
The period is during the early phase of the World War II and the location is the island of Malta. In the chapter, an Allied aviation admiral and an Axis air force general clashes in a large scale aerial battle in order to defend/take the island.
Both of them have known each other for decades and are renowned as the greatest expert of air power from each side. Naturally, they have a mutual respect and yet strong sense of rivalry towards each other and this battle is a duel in a sense.
What would be a good name for this chapter?
"Battle of Malta" feels a bit too weak "Masters of the Sky" is something I already used in earlier chapters, as well as "The Duel". Hmm, maybe "Duel at the Malta"? I dunno.
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.![]()
For an Internal name, maybe "The seven Pillars"?
May work better if the organization is consisted of 7 cells/branches/leaders...etc.)
for an external name, I imagine they will be labeled as "terrorists, Jihadists or rebels " as it is usually done in similar cases in Real Life.
For some cliché titles:
The Eagles of Malta
Meeting at the Sky
Blood of the Eagles
Blood and Smoke
Fire on heaven
(Allies admiral name) Vs (Axis general name)
(Name of the Allies airplane/ship) Vs (Name of the Axis main airplane/ship)
Fallen angels

Every Hero has his own way of eating yogurtI already went ahead and uploaded the chapter, but thanks for the suggestions!
May work better if the organization is consisted of 7 cells/branches/leaders...etc.)
... Or maybe name it after the Greek translation of the word that's left from the title of Lawrence's book - "wisdom" (i.e. Sophia) - and use "Seven Pillars" as a formal name for the organization's creed and/or leadership. It is, after all, dedicated to spreading out the human knowledge base, skilled expertise and technology across the world in a fair way, rather than suffer the rich and the powerful hoarding it for themselves.
That's way too generic for something that the world powers strongly suspect to the point of near-certainty is not your average group of non-state actors, for all the mystery that surrounds them.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.First name ideas for these Red Revenge characters?
They're the twin daughters of the nazi supervillains Thunderlight and Aryan Maiden, i haven't decided when exactly they're born but they're absolutely less than 5 years old in the summer/winter 1945 (older than The Lightbearer's son Johan in any case). After The Lightbearer's and some other villains' deaths Maiden makes a dissappearance, while Thunderlight grabs the kids and tries to defect to some western Allied country. He might lose the kids who'd in that case become wolf children
. In any case, Thunderlight discovers to his horror that Maiden has defected to the soviet union and doesn't give a shit about him or the kids. All the Allied countries try to get the nazi supersoldiers for themselves for a Cold War arms race similiar to Project Paperclip i guess, and are also trying to find all the nazi supersoldiers' kids so they can have Super Breeding Program's of their own (however, critically, it's not yet known if the powers can actually be passed down).
I haven't decided which parent names them (or on Thunderlight's personality, tbh), but given they're nazis the names could be ancient germanic names or mythological references. Or they could be metatextually Meaningful Name's. Thunderlight is an Alsatian German (kicked out as a child after WWI) and Maiden is Austrian. The Maiden also likes Sherlock Holmes and views herself as a similiar great detective.

~*bleh*~Which name sounds the best for a character based off Jay Gatsby from The Great Gatsby? I also want to homage the author of that book, F. Scott Fitzgerald, as well (the character in question is a girl btw):
- Jamie Scott
- Jay Scott
- Jay Fitzroy

CG for shortName ideas for this cat
◊? It's white except for the head and tail, and unlike in the pic the blue reaches the left eye and the left ear is partially blue.
It belongs to The Lightbearer's
sort-of adopted son Jan Messer (who isn't that much younger than him, potentially born in 1928). Messer accompanies The Lightbearer during the war, but i'm not sure where and how they'd pick up an apparent Van Cat since Turkey is pretty far away from Germany.

ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOAlso, i have this Transformers fanfiction idea where an original Decepticon character gets mortally injured in battle, and as she lays dying she wishes she could've become a scientist instead of being forced to mine energon (the mineral transformers eat) for years and then dying in an Autobot raid. Then she dies. But then she wakes up isekaied in a completely different Transformers universe with no explanation, and the actual plot happens.
Would "Perchance To Dream" make sense as the title in this context?

Yeah I think so
So, I have this character whose parents were forced to marry after her mom got knocked up since they live in a pretty conservative, religious area in Alabama (and presumably didn't have access to abortion). Since her parents view her as a burden, they give her a pretty Unfortunate Name by naming her after a heinous biblical woman.
So far, I got Salome (princess who demanded and received John the Baptist's head). I considered Lilith but I don't think she's really in the Bible(?)
Is Salome an alright name in this context or is there better names that are taken from heinous biblical women?

I need a name for a fictional philosophy.
It's an extreme form of libertarianism, where the state is all-pathetic and has no control over everything, where securities are sacrificed for maximized liberty, and everyone did what is right in their own hands and eyes. In short, the complete opposite of totalitarianism.
Looking for a title for a tabletop skirmish game about Girls with Guns airsoft combat, based on works like Stella Women’s Academy, High School Division Class C³ and Sabagebu!.
The project started as a spinoff of a friend's real-steel tactical shooter RPG, so detailed, "crunchy" combat is the game's main focus. Expect Geo Effects, Concealment Equals Cover, and maybe even Fog of War mechanics. That said, the tone and aesthetic feature mild but plentiful Camp and Fanservice. For example, Sailor Fuku and School Swimsuits are viable outfit options in addition to the usual street clothes and milsim uniforms. Skimpy outfits have major downsides, but the fact they're available at all would definitely put it on the silly end of the Sliding Scale Of Silliness Vs Seriousness.

Does English have a generic exonym that can be used to refer humorously to "any foreign land / all foreign lands collectively"? Like "boondock" or "doldrums" but for nationality rather than urbanisation, or saying barbarians are people who come from "Barbaria". "Ruritania" feels too specific, others are too pejorative, the nearest I can think of is "yonder".
