Also, the "one time" locks like missile doors are blast shields that clearly get destroyed in the Prime games.
Today on Speed Gaming technical wishlists, I wish that they'd start playing this song the instant someone enters Go Mode.

Listen, you gotta maintain the integrity of the speedrun. Those extra few seconds will be worth it.
I've gotten hooked to watching people race the Super Metroid/Zelda 3 ROM hack combo randomizer. It's glorious to see a race unfold as people scramble for items and progression and occasionally get shafted with forced low% boss fights.
