Because people want them? Granted that's not in and of itself a valid reason — people wanted IANMTU — but it provides a place for plot summaries to go that isn't the main article and, most importantly, lets tropers "remember" details about shows so they can pull tropes out of them.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Does anyone have any answers to my initial three questions?
I wasn't sure whether to ask here or on the Discuss part of the Recap page - I thought it would be better to ask here since the other one might take a while.
The reason why I'm asking is because I'm currently planning a Recap page, and I didn't want to break any of the rules by accident (and getting far only to have to start over again is a bit annoying).
If you want to write or repair a recap, go for it. All shows/works are eligible and all editors are eligible.
As for organization, choose what makes sense to you, but, as you have noticed, it makes for a better presentation if titles are not made until you are ready to fill in the article.
Goal: Clear, Concise and Witty

I have a few questions regarding Recap pages
1) Are there any conditions that must be satisfied for a series to have a Recap page?
2) Most of the recap pages I've looked at so far are subdivided into individual episodes, however some like Doctor Who and Kamen Rider Double have stories covering multiple episodes lumped together on one page. Are there any specific rules regarding grouping and that stuff, and if multi-episode stories are being grouped together, what rules need to be followed in naming the groups?
3) While looking at the recap pages, I noticed quite a few red links. Is this a problem? Also, is it OK for me to work on pages for some of these red links (such as the ones on the Big Finish Doctor Who and Kamen Rider Double recap pages)?
