I've brought this up before, and it does indeed seem to be unavoidable.
The only solution seems to be soft-splitting, as with, e.g., Batman. But there, at least all the variants are related, as opposed to, say, Hitman and Hitman, which are completely unrelated.
Jet-a-Reeno!Yeah, I suppose soft-spltting is good, if each one has examples. If not, could we just add banner to the top saying "These examples are from the Disney film"?
“I just think that's really shady." "Shady?!" - Stephanie & Chad, The Amazing Race 17Or just put in placeholders for the different works. That'll clear up confusion when someone does want to add an example - they'll know where to put it, instead of thinking "Oh, this page is just for the Disney film."
Jet-a-Reeno!Oh yeah, good idea. That way they don't think they're locked out from adding examples not about the one. Sort of like how we leave blanks on the fanfic recs.
“I just think that's really shady." "Shady?!" - Stephanie & Chad, The Amazing Race 17Where unrelated works have a namespace collision in the subpages, the solution that's proposed most often, other than a soft split, is to rename one or both articles to disambiguate them, as in Hitman (Film) and Hitman (Game) - then, each article can get its own subpages and the main Hitman article can be a disambiguation page.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Well, it would be a smart idea, except right now the Disney Beuaty and the Beast is the only that actually has any subpage content that I know of. I suppose I could add some for the Beauty and the Beast TV series when I have the chance. I do know a fair bit about it. Or move some of the content on the main page for it that probably needs to be on subpages...

For example - if I'm on Beauty And The Beast (series) and I click on Fridge or WMG, it takes me to pages talking about the Disney film, which obviously isn't what I want. May be an unavoidable problem, but really ought to be fixed if at all possible.
