I know Anne of Green Gables already received this treatment, so I don't really think there is any book that wouldn't.
Read my stories!K? So what if I ask which books do you think would make the best anime adaptations?
Help?.. please...Harry Potter would definitely make a good anime. It would have to have 7 seasons, of course, to fit all of the novels' material in.
But then it would be redundant since we already have Mahou Sensei Negima
Other than that, I think that most of Tamora Pierce's books would be great if adapted to anime.

I always sound like a broken record with these kinds of things...
I think Larklight could make a fun anime. At the very least it'd be an incredibly visually pleasing anime.
Japan would have its work cut out for it, though, trying to get across that wonderfully British dry sense of humor.
The Bartimaeus Trilogy could make a pretty epic anime as well, though more dramatic and less fun.
Japan would also have a blast ramping up the ho yay.

I would say Sherlock Holmes too, but aren't there anime adaptations of that already? Failing that, any Agatha Christie murder would be fun. Anime-version Miss Marple and Poirot would be super fun to watch.
Deep Secret, for great justice! It's pretty easy to culturally transition, too. Helloooo, jokes about otaku!
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaI don't know how good an adaptation it'd be, but I've always thought that the only way John Ringo's Posleen War Series could be done any justice, given the scope of the series, is as an anime. Powered Armor, over-the-top heroics, centauroid aliens, massive multi-kilometer spacecraft, metric fuck-tons of Dakka, and all the political subtlety of a kick to the nuts *. Hollywood certainly wouldn't touch it for all the gold in Ft. Knox.
Snow Crash would be an excellent choice for an anime. However, I'm doubtful of it happening, given the mixed depictions of the Japanese (in-universe, called the Nipponese) in the book.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)P.C. Hodgell's Chronicles Of The Kencyrath series, for a bunch of reasons.
Firstly, the martial arts in the series, which would work wonderfully in a visual medium. I would not be highly surprised if Hodgell is an anime fan; if not, then at least martial-arts movies. The four Kencyr disciplines could be exaggerated a bit if necessary.
Secondly, Jame is a very physical heroine, and her nature could be very well conveyed using motion and behavior. Her catlike grace could be done really well in this medium. Hodgell's use of slapstick humor to relieve the overall gloom also would work well in animation
Thirdly, there's a certain Asianness about the Kencyr people and the world in general — never explicitly brought up, but this is a common way for fans to perceive it and wonder about. Their rigid honor codes are very samurai-esque. Styles of dress and the like are certainly compatible. Architecture. Clothing.
It would have to be a reasonably mature anime or manga, though; not so much for sexual content (Jame remains a chaste heroine so far) as for violence and dark subject matter. Though the Japanese would probably love the Twincest shiptease.
A brighter future for a darker age.I just imagined Larklight Ghibli'd and came. Hard. And then cried, because it'll never happen.
Keys To The Kingdom. I'm not entirely sure why, but while I was reading the books I got the feeling that the author watches anime.

Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb!Seconding Tamora Pierce's work.
Also adding the Dresden Files. But only if done by Production I.G. Maybe as a series of movies ala {[Kara no Kyoukai}}. Because come "Summer Knight" the special effects budget of any other medium is going to go through the roof.
I would also add Journeytothe West except for the fact that it's been adapted to hell and back and people are still not tired of churning out new, barely related "adaptations" of it.
Should I say, an adaptation that actually tries to remain faithful to the source work instead of turning Tripitaka into a woman or making everyone a cyborg or making supposedly pious monks into chain-smoking, gun-toting, bad-tempered pretty boys.

?
Again!
The Killer Angels and Gods And Generals would make excellent anime. Full of vibrant characters and action. Of course, they'd probably de-age everybody and put hot springs in Northern Virginia.

The Keys To The Kingdom would be a killer adaptation. The separate books? Story arcs. And the reaches of the House...

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.I like the idea of Harry Potter having 7 seasons for seven books. But it kind of seems as though the first 3 seasons then need to be half made of anime invented fillers to make it as long as other seasons.

Help?.. please...Watership Down could be interesting, though it's been adapted a lot already.
May have even more Nightmare Fuel, though.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?7 has no filler at all. That's why they made two movies.
Well, that and the obvious.

Exactly What It Says on the Tin.
I know some books that have been made into anime and others that people say would make great anime(Harry Potter some people say?).
So what's your opinion?
Help?.. please...
