It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.

Heh, Ninjas are about grin Also completely unfazed with PIXAR winning Best Animated Feature. They should just rename the category "PIXAR's Annual".

Yeah, I saw Night and Day (my girlfriend has a 13-year-old). The IFC Theater in NY does special screenings of the shorts, but that's, well, a special screening.

Aaron Sorkin finally wins an Oscar. Now Buscemi is out there in top of a building, preparing his sniping rifle.

Man, Aaron looks so confident up on the stage...

They shooed off Aaron Sorkin, but he should be used to walking and talking.

How was The Kings Speech not adapted?

It wasn't based on an existing work.

Adapting life doesn't count as adapting from a different work.

The Academy should read this page.

The last Non PIXAR film to win BAF was Happy Feet, which was also the turning point of the studio. Based on a 4 year running streak since then and 60% average winning in total (two of the remaining 4 are ones they just didn't release a movie that year), I'd say it's pretty definite that this is PIXAR's designated award.

I'm glad Toy Story nabbed it. Would've preferred to have seen it get "Best Picture", but whatever. The acadamy is firmly stuck in the ghetto and clearly they don't plan on changing that.

Come on Fincher for BD (even if Social Network wasn't as good as people say Fincher has deserved this award for ages).

And Come on Toy Story 3 for BP.
