Titan, no contest. It's one of the best animated shows of the past decade, and it's absolutely gorgeous.
To me, Generator Rex is the ultimate example of So Okay, It's Average. The designs are cool, and there's some neat ideas, but the characters are flat, cookie-cutter archetypes (especially Holiday and Rex himself) and the plot doesn't really seem to be going anywhere.
It's SUPPOSED to Be unrealistic. What were you expecting from Gennedy Tartakovsky?

Watch SymphogearSarcasm, sir.
I tend to think these kinds of threads are ridiculous.
I like both shows equally well. Though I've seen more of Generator Rex.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....Though I haven't seen either one as much as I'd like to, it's close, but I gotta say Titan. I like the "outsiders looking in" prospective on the whole situation and how even though the villains keep sending monsters in, the way team Titan goes about defeating them isn't just a formula. I do like Generator Rex though...even if I'm not too fond of Rex himself.
I have all the cookies but oatmeal.
Not Quite Batman
SBT, by a huge margin. It's actually a cool, exciting, charming series. Rex is too bland, and tries much too hard. It's thick with trying.
And you can't try to be cool. You either got it or you don't, my man.

"Religion isn't the cause of wars, it's the excuse." —Mycroft NextI prefer Titan, hands down. I love the animation, and the art style makes me giddy.
In Rex's defenxe, I haven't seen much of the show, but I liked the episodes I saw. Artistically, I love the animation and style as well. However, it reminds me a lot of Ben 10, which I watch a lot and I don't know why I like it so much. It's hard to get into a show and all you can think about is the other show by the same people that comes on at about the same time.
Now, I know you're going to say "Don't you think of Samurai Jack watching Titan?" The answer is on rare occasion. Lance is a lot like Jack, just a hot-blooded teenage version, and it makes me change to my Samurai Jack recordings. Not to mention SJ XVLII, which is basically Titan's whole show in under twenty minutes with moths.
I prefer Titan because it's different and it draws me in more. The storyline might not be the best written out thing ever, but the character relationships are great. I love the fact that I don't know what characters outside of the trio are important. It keeps me guessing, and makes the show unpredictable (Outside of "A Family Crisis"), which is an element I've come to love.
So basically, In that long wordy essay, I love Titan more for complicated reasons.
Sym Bionic Titan was the stuff.Um...I like both? They both have their merits, like SBT actually attempts to utilize the PG rating and it feels more like a mature cartoon than GR, but...I like the style of GR. Art-wise, it's about a step below ATLA only because of a few lazy shortcuts that are blatantly obvious ruin the overall impressive style of the show. Creating machines from your body and having technopathic powers is pretty dang awesome. If there was some way to combine the darkness and story-telling of SBT with the style and concept of GR, I think ATLA would finally have a modern-day rival in terms of action cartoons.
Maybe it's just me, but I've never been able to take an action cartoon too seriously unless the characters are drawn in more human-like proportions. Yes, I know characters in them can have big anime-esque eyes, unrealistic expressions, etc., but for some odd reason, it works and seems believable. Maybe it's because I'm conditioned to associating realistically proportioned characters to action and unrealistic shapes to comedy cartoons? I love SBT and I actually do take it seriously despite the art (which is a surprise!), but even when it was announced, people were saying "It sounds super cool but the characters are funny-looking!"
Rex's first season was pretty awesome, but now it's starting to become a major bore and the writing is also pretty inconsistent. I'm mainly angry that the 'nanite war' announced at the end of S1 has gone practically nowhere or lived up to the epicness that it entailed.
Meanwhile, SBT has proven that it is willing to go to greater lengths to tell it's story then Rex. I also like the fact that it abuses the PG rating, whereas Rex seems scared to push farther. The growth of SBT's characters is also great compared to Rex's cast, which have remained pretty static, besides Six. Overally, SBT has better action scenes and a more emotional story then Rex. I mean just look at 'A Family Crisis' and 'The Steel Foe'. Those are great examples of SBT's awesomeness.
TBH, I would prefer SBT to stay then Rex which no longer suprises me as much as SBT.

^ Yeah, but it just doesn't seem to have the same life to me as GR, which has, to me, a more lifelike impression.
