Alright, even though my character will probably be changed at some point or another, I'm still working on the purely mechanical stuff, such as inventory and magic. Here's Kaylee Windfield so far.
If you're confused about the spell list, (Dm) signifies a domain spell. I have a link to the basic cleric spell list in the private section, and I'll add spells to the list proper when they are prepared, so yes, I am writing it all down this time. (I actually tried fitting all the spells I could know on the list proper, but they wouldn't fit.)
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.Okay, Staghorn, we have complained about this many times, but today I have deigned to make it official
◊.
What the fuck did I do this time? Miss some inportant event? Well, between practices, and me fucking up my router, I might've missed something here and there.
By the way, until further notice, I'm out of commission internet-wise.

Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about. You all are lucky: arim stopped me from going with a plot that probably would have induced rage upon the twist being revealed. He also stopped me from going with the version where there was no reveal, just hints that there was another twist that the characters might not be able to discover, in the vein of "if you pay close attention to the two guys in the third town's inn, and combine that with the rumors about the dungeon that was total filler, you know that if you complete the bouquet of flowers by finding the three missing pieces to finish the cycle of the zodiac, you can put them in the extra Vase of Destiny and bring the arrangement to the absentminded mage in the Tower of Mysteries to restore his memory, thereby allowing him to accept the nine ruby rings (which themselves can only be found by following vague clues given by the Eight Wardens before they die) so that he can open the Portal of Ages to the Bonus Dungeon to face the Angel Queen" sort of bonus quests in video games.
Thus, we're going to keep the plot simple, limiting it to things like quadruple agents, triple-crosses, unreliable expositors, and a Twelve Gambit Pileup.
I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.I am Officially glad my Character gets 131.5 ARIM FM on his brain radio.

"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"Yes, there will be no Guide Dang It!, no All in the Manual, and very little Jigsaw Puzzle Plot (well, see below).
What's actually going to happen is that there will be up to half a dozen mostly self-contained Story Arcs that will make up a Myth Arc. Characters, items, and subplots will return (and I will insert several Chekhovs Guns and Chekhov's Gunmen), and the consequences of your choices will play out in future arcs, but you will only need to understand the one-paragraph summary of the previous arcs to be able to follow the current one. Actually putting all of the little pieces together will provide a greater understanding of the cause and effect involved, and will link the arcs a bit more, but doing so will never be required to enjoy each arc as a self-contained story.
Additionally, you are not required to be familiar with the web of intrigue in the Eberron setting, and you may enjoy the story more (and be more likely to survive it) if you are not. Things you should be familiar with (with book and page numbers):
- Recent history—the Last War, the Day of Mourning, and the Treaty of Thronehold (Player's Guide pages 92-93)
- The basics of your nation of origin and organizations you associate with
- Lance: The Mournland (Player's Guide page 116)
- Jinxed: Zilargo (Player's Guide page 68, Campaign Setting pages 212-213) and the Power of Purity (Magic of Eberron, pages 34-35)
- Matrix: Cyre (my post
) and Sharn (Campaign Setting pages 146-147)
- Staghorn: Aundair (the Aundair section near the bottom of this wall of text
, Campaign Setting pages 136-141)
- Kara: Breland (the Breland section at the bottom of this wall of text
, Campaign Setting pages 142-150)
- The basics of your religion, if any. It'll likely be the Sovereign Host (with knowledge of their enemies, the Dark Six) for most of you: Player's Guide to Eberron pages 138-139 and 32-33 (in that order) and Eberron Campaign Setting 68-70
- The Five Nations and their rulers
- Queen Aurala rules Aundair, which is mostly farms and has a thing for arcane magic
- King Boranel rules Breland, which also has a Parliament and includes the metropolis of Sharn
- King Kaius III rules the military dictatorship of Karrnath
- The Church of the Silver Flame controls Thrane
- Cyre was destroyed on the Day of Mourning
- The existence of the Dragonmarked houses and guilds under them, though knowledge of particular guilds, houses, and marks is only required if it fits your backstory (eg Elnisa, Nameless, and Anila all know of House Cannith)
Edit: Also, if you have a "wish list" of items or types of items you'd like to have access to, please PM me.

I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.OKAY: as I have discussed with Ironeye, I have officially changed my Intended prestige class to Dragon Prophet from the Magic Of Eberron.
(I can gain my first level in it as soon as level 6 HINT HINT GM GUYS)

"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"- goes to read class description -
If anyone else has an idea of what prestige class or classes they might want to work towards, telling us in advance could be considerably useful to us. It's not necessary by any means - you might not know yet, and you might change your mind in the course of events - but anyone who's near certain might as well make their intentions clear ahead of time.

Part of the reason for that is that some prestige classes have entry requirements that you cannot satisfy on your own—certain NPCs need to be present allow access (in Lance's case, a dragon). It's great and all if you want to be, say, a Quori Mindhunter (so chosen because I know no one is going to choose that one), but there's something like a 95% chance you won't have that option without GM cooperation. And, of course, if we know far ahead of time, we can make sure that the entry requirements don't just happen to show up in the middle of an unrelated quest and disappear just as suddenly.
I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.Nonsense. We have candy in our hands!
But seriously, in spite of all our joking about having Evil Plans and whatnot, playing into our hands just enhances our ability to do interesting things with your character and make them integral to the plot. Don't forget, Ironeye is the only one who takes perverse pleasure in tormenting your characters - with me, you've got better than even odds of just getting more cool stuff to do.
I noticed in the description of that that Dragon Prophets (and the dragons who are interested in the prophecy as well) show interest in those who are dragonmarked. Which (assuming that Kaylee doesn't change too much later on) helps tie/drag Kaylee into that story and gives her a potential connection to the Warforged.
Speaking of that, a Warforged Dragon Prophet... interesting, in a sort of Ninja Zombie Pirate Robot sort of way.
Also, there's a magic item that I'm interested in (ephod of authority, page 215 in the Magic Item Compendium), but it's part of a set which I'm not sure exists in the Eberron setting (the vestments of divinity). Does it?

Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.Going to post these changes so that I don't forget them.
- Kaylee is actually devout, and that's why she joined the clergy.
- Her hatred of Lyrandar is being channeled more towards Thrane, although her father could still retain connections.
