I would say Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer, but I think that'd be too easy.

I've decided to start posting more often. Sorry.Nestor The Long-Eared Christmas Donkey. For a Rankin-Bass special, it's really dark and depression and the ending was so messed up.
Grandma Got run over by a reindeer pretty much is the worst xmas special that gets shot down easily. It was like they tried to do it for adults but couldn't do it. He-man xmas special What the freakin f?
And that Jim carrey grinch movie is inexcusable, I bet chuck jones was pissed at that.
Olive The Other Reindeer, because it's a terrible, terrible, terrible pun. I don't care whether it's actually bad or good, I can't get past the title. *shudder*

I don't care how bad the title is, that's still Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch.
We've made worse puns.

I second this one. The Roger Miller theme song is enough to make one slit one’s wrists, and a six year old child should not be contemplating suicide! I had to listen to “Whistle Stop” just to cleanse the morbid imagery from my mind (a pity Hampsterdance [sic] killed that song and defiled the corpse).
That one Rugrats Christmas special where they got trapped at the Christmas theme park Stu designed. (I think it was a theme park anyway? It was something close to it.) Anyone remember when Stu was more or less a bumbling inventor instead of a sucessful one?
We're going to spread this shit like Nutella.lol "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" ah good times. Me thinks it is So Bad, It's Good, it is funny when you notice that most likely the writer was just bored on board and did not really want to make a Christmas special.

I thought the X-men's (the early 90's series) special was pretty painful with Jubilee's whining at her most grating, Wolverine's wangst at its most narmful, and Leech playing the Littlest Cancer Patient.

No matter how many times it's been said, Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer . Oh. My. God. And it doesn't help matters that Cartoon Network feels the need to play it once a week during December.

Just about every time three ghosts of Christmas appear. Bonus points if it is completely bizare. I still get nightmares of re-watching "A Diva's Christmas Carol" ...
"Surprisingly, I love the Funzo episode, despite my general hatred of new Simpsons. Homer, Lisa, Bart, and Gary Coleman debating all night just tickles my funny bone. "
The ending is priceless. Most quotable Christmas episode ever.
Lisa: Lets just agree that the commercialization of Christmas is, at best, a mixed blessing. Coleman: Amen.

Seconding Satanic Hamster's love for the "Christmas makes Skeletor (temporarily) nice" scene from the He-Man Christmas Special. See for yourself
.
And that Jim carrey grinch movie is inexcusable, I bet chuck jones was pissed at that.
Probably not, since the live action version is, like the animated one, an adaptation of THE BOOK. Sure it kept elements of the cartoon that were popular ("You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch" for example), but it's not supposed to be an adaptation of it. Judging it in comparasion is a bad case of Adaptation Displacement.
IMHO, it's fairly good, and it's definately not inexcusable (the live action The Cat In The Hat film...now THAT'S inexcusable.)

I made the mistake of watching Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer once, having no idea what I was getting into. That creepy Villain Song with the hula dancing burned itself into my mind.
I'm not permanently scarred, but I got pretty close.

Looking for some stories?I have just won at everything ever.
Don't you try anything, you baked good you.

We have a thread for the best specials of the season, but why don't we dig on down to the bottom of the barrel and see what we can find?
Personally, I'd like to nominate Gotta Catch Santa Claus. The animation sucks, the plot goes up and down from nonexistent to just plain stupid (apparently Santa is archnemeses with an alien ice monster, WTF?) and this mess stars William Shatner, of all people, in it.
Actually, come to think of it, that's not surprising...
