Is there anyway to prevent the search function from turning up nonexistent pages? I'm not sure if it is technically possible, but it would be a great feature if it could be implemented.

Could you give an example?

Maybe he's referring to the "ghost" wicks that show up on the related to function? Where it says a trope is linked on a page, but it isn't there? It would be nice to get rid of that.

No, sometimes the Google search shows pages as if they existed when they're in fact blank and uncreated. I can't think of anything off the top of my head, though.

Oh, right. Things that have been linked and Google picks them up? I don't think there's anything we can do about that.

Wikipedia doesn't have this problem, as far as I know.

Unfortunately, I don't think anything can be done by that unless we can change Google's search engine works.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!

It was mentioned before that one could reconfigure the software to return a 404 Not Found instead of a 200 OK while still displaying the page.

If you search for Kinect, the top two results are both nonexistant pages.

Specifically, Kinect and Kinect Sports.

Google still shows a shit-ton of forum pages that have been deleted, sometimes months ago.
