How do you know that? All we see of his attacks are his bow, an Up-B that looks slightly different, and his F-Tilt.
Regardless, I'm happy. I prefer TL to regular Link, use him as a lesser-main, was worried he wasn't going to make the cut because of the Spirit Tracks stage, and Wind Waker is possibly my favorite game of all time.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Bow and Bombs and Spin Attack and basic logic about how Sakurai usually does things. I'm depressed because this means we have a superfluous double-character and regular Link will probably suck again for the sake of making Toon Link more distinct from him.

I sure said that!I wish I could make the pic of the bomb explosion my avatar. It looks hilarious.
His properties were already way different from regular Link's in Brawl. It was their moves that were the same for the most part. So far we only see four attacks in his pics, but three of them are Specials which are usually the most defining part of a clone.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I think you're jumping the gun here. For all we know vanilla Link is no longer useless compared to Toon Link.
All we have are a few static screenshots and an old, likely-out-of-date trailer that only had brief glimpses of Link in it anyway.

All I can think of when seeing that explosion pic is "Dayum, Peach! And I thought Wario was bad enough...''.

I admit that another variation of a different character is disappointing, but hey, I happen to like this one.

My first thought was "Oh, hey, Peach stole Wario's Down-B"
Also, I gotta say, wow TL looks really good in this
◊. Fitting since his game just got a massive HD revamp.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I told you stage elements meant nothing. Conductor Link was not a sign of a thing.
Moving on, Sakurai outright stated that Child Link having the same moves as Link was a "rule".
In addition, he also said movesets were subject to change before the final release.
Meaning Toon Link being a clone again isn't confirmed. But I won't lie; Probably will be the case anyway. Glad to see that clones can still show up, though.
Shadow? And for all we know, he's working to make speed less of a be-all-end-all stat.
Bowser is revamped, and according to Sakurai's comments DK is currently rather overpowered at the time of writing, so I don't think the slow guys are going to be as useless this time around.

Bowser was made faster and DK has always been at least middle-of-the-road in terms of speed. I doubt that's what's happening.
Better recovery and they're functionally stronger by virtue of being able to zone better and land more attacks in a shorter timeframe. Speed is very important in Smash.

I sure said that!Truth be told, TL was pretty much superior to vanilla Link in every way except weight and damage output.
Link is usually grappling with Ganondorf, fittingly, for the bottom tier spot.
You know, I'm glad I stayed up. Lately I've been just checking in the morning rather than waiting until 4 AM, since the pics are usually nothing of value, but I decided to see what we'd get tonight.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Yeah, I doubt speed's emphasis will be diminished at all in this installment, but I kind of hope this doesn't mean everyone's suddenly going to become speedy jackals. I just hope the balance to compensate slower characters will work in their favor.
I'm just going to get this out of the way before I decide to head to bed or something and the topic shifts five times before I get back. My personal prospective list of characters from Zelda (besides Link and now, Toon Link) that I was expecting to see in the fourth installment were:
- Zelda/Sheik (unknown if Zelda would use her Skyward Sword appearance or not, but I'd be greatly amused if that were the case)
- Ganondorf (hopefully non-cloned) or that white effeminate villain dude from Skyward, whose name I can't recall on account of not having gotten anywhere in that game. I feel like it's "Ghiharam" or something.
- Toon Zelda/Tetra/Phantom to coincide with Wind Waker HD.
...Maybe I should do that bingo card thing I heard about (though I guess it's too late since the reveals have already started).
I found Young Link lots of fun, if a little more gimmicky than he needed to be.
