Here's one other question: how am I supposed to get ZSS? Do i have to do the trick that allows you to default to her when you choose the character, does that work for Classic Mode? Or am i just supposed to pray that a Smash Ball appears at some point, and if so, which difficulty is best to attempt that, higher or lower?
Edit: ah, nvm, the character-select trick does still work in Classic.

Just hold down the shield button on the choose your character screen.
Frankly, I don't get why they didn't just let us choose conveniently like we can with Zelda and Sheik or Pokemon Trainer.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Because it was an entirely new feature. Using a Final Smash to take upon a 100% new and permanent form.
Zelda/Sheik's transformation was a new feature in Melee. You couldn't choose between them purely on the Select Screen either. You could in Brawl first. PT is the same exact feature as Zelda/Sheik, so that didn't need to be some "hidden" way to do it.
So it makes sense the new feature is harder to use. Same essential way it was during Melee. I agree it would've been nice, but if you want to show off the new feature, you gotta make players work for it. Which Sakurai did a pretty good job of, I might note.
Shadow?I just figured it was just an Easter Egg.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I suppose it's an easter egg.
I'd rather they promote it for For (Preferably not shedding armor at the beginning of the match like in Brawl). I don't recall Sheik being selectable in Melee from the selection screen but they changed that for Brawl.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Sheik was not selectable directly till Brawl. Again, was a new feature, so making you work for it is logical.
Pokemon Trainer made the other ones matter by having the characters experience lag after a while. Basically, every unique idea or idea in general is promoted in some way. Trophy collecting in Melee had multiple ways. Finishing many general Single Player tasks, more Bonuses for the Diskun Trophy, a full Lottery System, the Grab the Trophies stage... etc. Stickers were also made extremely easy to get in Brawl, moreso than Trophies by a huge margin. Because it's new? Probably. Similar to a lot of new characters often being better than old ones. New stuff just tends to get more attention in some way.
But that's just how it looks to me.
Shadow?Kind of feel like I like ZSS better than Samus, if only because I totally and completely suck with using regular Samus (there's no flow to her moves at all, and her lack of a punishing Up-Smash diminishes her severely in my eyes. No real fan of her other smashes, and her specials are all too clumsy except Screw Attack)
Samus is one of the many veterans that got the nerf bat hard in Brawl, so it's not anything out of the ordinary. Even the official site felt the need to point out her lack of a proper vertical launching attack.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guySamus: Effective way to attack = Down-Attack, Dash-attack, Charge, Side-Smash, Side-B(Tap), Charge shot and Back-air.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. So here's a random question: is anyone else kind of hoping we get a Custom Robo stage? Though a lot of the stages would probably look kind of weird sideways, I'd love to see something like the factory/conveyor belt stage from the Gamecube as a stage in Smash. And to hear a rearrangement of this tune, maybe in a medley with a bunch of other tunes in the series.
I'd love to see Rahu as a boss - here's hoping there's still a Boss Rush mode.
I don't want Custom Robo representation because it would ruin G Red's chance of ever getting into Smash.
...Not that that ship hasn't already sailed...
"Evii is right though" -Saturn "I didn't know you were a bitch Evii." -Lior Val![]()
A character from Capcom's Gotcha Force, a somewhat obscure and underrated game about kids using aliens that look like action figures to help save the world.
I loved it, but Capcom already has a rep in the form of Mega Man.
Fun stroke of luck in my favor today. The reason i've been trying "beat classic with all characters" is not so much to get the challenge unlocked specifically, as to be able to see which challenge is next to it. My goal has been to eliminate all blue squares on the board, and it so happened that "Ballyhoo and Bigtop", a "get 75 songs" challenge was the blue square next to Paper Mario and the "clear classic with all characters" challenge, which i managed to get in my retread run as Charizard. One before that, i got the "clear classic with 20 characters", so now all that's left is to clear classic on Intense.
