Remember that list of characters that I want to see in SSF 2 as unlockables or expansions? Someone was being a jerk with their reaction. Basically being like "Really? Scorpion and Luffy? We don't need these dumbass newcomers or returning SSF 1 characters."
Ah, the Broken Base over the anime characters...it really should stop because it's a fangame.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Cloud's trailer analyzed, for any of you potential cloud mains or the curious.
Looks like a potentially fun character to play with, though I'm surprised it seems like everyone wants to see him in a dress. I know that part of the game was kinda funny but I didn't think it was that iconic.

I think that's because it's a pretty memorable sequence, but also because it's a bit of pushback from people who are sick of him getting identified solely with Wangst. And the "he challenged a dude to a squat contest for a wig so that he could dress up as a girl to seduce an organized crime boss" thing is the obvious go-to in pointing out that the character has a sillier side.
Reaction Image RepositoryYou know what I would like for DLC in Smash 4? Besides new fighters, I mean.
More alternate costumes/skins for characters.
I'd love to see the Zelda characters with their Hyrule Warriors designs. We could get Young Link as an alternate skin for Toon Link. I want Shadow as an alt for Sonic. Ken, Akuma and Dan as alts for Ryu. Pichu could return as an alt for Pikachu. Ike could get Greil, Chrom and the Black Knight as alts, or maybe just his Path of Radiance design. Mr. L as an alt for Luigi. Stuff like that.
If they can release new Mii outfits, they can make this. Do it, Nintendo.
"No copyright law in the universe is going to stop me!" ~ Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic ColoursI think most of wangstyness comes from the movie. Never seen it so I'm not sure. He's not that angsty in the game at all. Starts out more indifferent than angsty. Has a major breakdown halfway through the game because it turns out a lot of his memories aren't his, but after a Journey to the Center of the Mind he pretty much completely gets over it and becomes very confident. Supposedly the movie shits all over that. Spoofed here.
Also, Square Enix keeps reminding people of the cross-dressing scene in Final Fantasy VII. For example, in Dissidia Final Fantasy, there's a set of equipment that's all feminine items, mostly exclusive to the female characters (Terra, Shantotto, Cloud of Darkness, and Ultimecia). There are only two male characters that can wear it, and one is Cloud. (For what it's worth, the other's Kefka, which probably isn't a surprise to anyone.)
When the company that makes the game has a habit of reminding people of that scene, you can't blame the players for bringing it up.
I'd be up for more costume options if it were either free DLC or really affordable. It would admittedly be cool to wear that kickass scarf from Hyrule Warriors or have outfits for other Fire Emblem characters. A few others I'd like to see:
- Mario and Luigi wear outfits reminiscent of power-ups from their home series. If I could go into battle dressed in the Hammer Bros. suit, I'd do it, even if I didn't get to throw hammers.
- Pikachu could become his various expies in the series - Emolga, Pachirisu, Dedenne, and Pichu. You could also tease people by throwing in Jolteon (if Jolteon was theoretically in Smash, its moveset would pretty much be the same), but the fans of the other Eeveelutions would go nuts.
- While we're at it, Jigglypuff could become Clefairy.
- Little Mac could become some of his opponents. For sheer humor value, wouldn't you want to be Glass Joe or Von Kaiser?
- Palutena could become Medusa. If you've played Kid Icarus Uprising, you know how cool that would be.
- Fox could become Wolf, obviously, but also maybe Peppy. Meanwhile, Falco could become Slippy (presuming Slippy also could be a good jumper).
- Bowser could become Dry Bowser.
- Sheik, in addition to getting her Hyrule Warriors garb (which isn't much different, to be honest) could also become Impa.
- Mewtwo could become a few of the other legendaries from the series - Deoxys, Meloetta, and Genesect are the ones probably most fitting. And yes, I know that those are all potential Pokeball appearances.
- Diddy could become Dixie.
- Villager could become Tom Nook. He so should be in there.
No to wolf as a costume.
And I'd rather Impa and Sheik be different characters. The former can use her giant water sword and fire Naginata, and the latter could have magic songs and elemental attacks added to her repertoire, with the forest-growing song as a new final smash.
I have a message from another time...Sure, Dixie lacks a tail, but she could just wave her ponytail around for that attack. The animation would be a little different, but she could be functionally the same.
And while I certainly would want Wolf to return as his own character instead of a skin (he's my favorite character from Star Fox), I just fear it's unlikely at this point. He probably would have been the least effort needed to bring him in as DLC (about the only thing I would have changed would have been his Final Smash, but that's hardly required), but it still hasn't happened.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I want a Mike Tyson skin for Little Mac. Not an actual skin, since that would never happen because of controversy. But a palette swap that evokes Mike Tyson.
Mario powerup suits would be pretty sweet. Fuck yes on Dry Bowser. Give Peach and Rosalina their biking suits from Mario Kart.
I'd have to agree on the no Wolf skin for Fox. Would piss off any Brawl Wolf fan. I wonder if Wolf got a lot of votes in the ballot?

"No copyright law in the universe is going to stop me!" ~ Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic ColoursI can't imagine they'd be priced that much higher than the onslaught of Mii Costumes still festering in the store.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guy

True.
His crazy KH design would be fun though.
