More like Street Fighter and Final Fantasy have overall lost relevance to Nintendo since SF 2 and FFVI. That is what I was saying originally.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!@83095: Ryu's side smash is from SFIII, and his hold-the-button-for-different-lengths-for-light/heavy mechanic dates back to SFI. (Specifically, two-button cabinets.)

I sure said that!Well, we still have a major Smash broadcast in December, so ballot fiends may want to wait for that one.
Also that Game FA Qs thread is just amazing.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectSakurai's mind is an enigma. We try to work around it, we try to reason our way into it. "It's between Isaac and K. Rool" we say to ourselves, "Inklings are a lock", we say to ourselves, "Wolf might happen", we say to ourselves.
We convince ourselves that we can ever understand the endless labyrinth of the Mashed Potatoes Samurai and that really frightens me. I'm a huge smash nerd, and I remember from 2012-2014 spending hours with other nerds on sites from Game FA Qs to Smash Boards trying to figure out the perfect Smash Roster, and yet every time Sakurai finds some new way to outsmart our expectations.
Truer words have never been spoken.
Unbelievable...that Jiggy totally threw the match.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.

In a lot of ways, Dissidia is very important in at least codifying a lot of FF characters' styles, especially in the ultra-exaggerated-action format SE uses about half the time.
It's hard not to love what they did with Garland.
