While Smash 4's custom stage creator may not have as many options as Brawl, it does make it easier to create stages with less random gimmicks like falling platforms and springs. The ability to draw your own pieces is very useful as well. Things don't have to be blocky like they were in Brawl.
The thing about Smas 4's stage builder is that, while there's lots of things you can do with it, very few of them are worth doing.

I sure said that!

I can't even comprehend how slow that Ganondorf would be. It's not meant for our feeble mortal eyes.

I think all the stage builder really needs are more backgrounds and themes based on Nintendo games. Like it needs Mario Bricks, or tree decorations, or 8 bit sprites.

He's slow. Snails laugh at him as they pass him. Turtles mock him for his speed. But what fools they are...

He hits hard. And he's level 50. In just a couple hits you're at over 60 percent. He launches you like everyone is jigglypuff. And don't even try to hit him, he'll explode you and kill you with even his shield. And to top it off, every time he hits you with one of his attacks, he heals from it.

Fear the Dark Lord Ganondorf.

It's like fighting Gozilla if Godzilla was made of razor blade chainsaws and moved at the speed of NO.

Basically, the custom stage builder in 4 should be like Mario Maker?

[up][up][up]So basically the only way to kill him is by training a lv 50 Toon/Link to specialize in throws and projectiles? tongue

Maybe... though that won't help much if he can kill you and heal in just a few hits... and he won't die unless hit by a really strong smash attack at a high percent.

RE:Stage Builder: On my brothers' game, I've made about 30+ stages. I actually like it, but I really wish that they brought in more elements from Brawl's stage builder and had more design variations.

That Ganondorf is so slow he slips between planck lengths and transcends this mortal plane.

Roy's up special packs as much punch as Peach's parasol.

And that's just unfair.

I didn't know that Lucas's PK Fire would clash with Charge Shot but now that I remember how the move works it makes sense.

I had forgotten Samus's moves had completely arbitrary weaknesses FOR NO GOOD REASON

Also Charge Shot has terribad priority on top of all its other failings, because nothing good ever happens to Samus.

[up][up][up][up] Yeah, the thing is, there's a property in some multi-hit moves like Blazer (Aether, for example) that gives the initial hit super high knockback so that it'll link to the rest of the attack. The knockback from the other hits cancel it out, so it's usually not seen. ut in some special circumstances, only that first hit connects and you get that insane knockback.

It's not like they gave specifically Charge Shot bad priority.

In order for a projectile to not clash with something they either need a special property that makes them go through everything (like Greninja's charged shuriken) or they need to deal at least 9% more damage than the used attack.

So every attack that does 16% or more can cancel out Charge Shot, anything else just fails. I don't think there's even that many projectiles that deal that much damage (Shadow Ball and Aura Sphere, I guess?)

Charge Shot's priority is actually pretty damn good.

I wanna try and pull that kinda stunt in the middle of a match for real, but I'd probably have to practice to get the turnaround right.

(and i'm far too lazy to practice that sort of stuff)

I probably just didn't do the reverse magnet correctly.

I believe Thoron goes through most projectiles, but that's because it has a bunch of hitboxes.
