So I just noticed one potential hurdle for Shovel Knight getting in Smash. Apparently he's got the cartoony 3 fingers thing going on, which I think is/was kind of an issue for the Japanese markets.

The Yakuza chopped off fingers, so Japan isn't fond of the less-than-five-fingers thing.

If it's enough of an issue they could just change it. I don't think anybody would care and I didn't even realize that until now.

I doubt anyone would care too much if they gave Smash!Shovelknight a full set of fingers, But I don't know much about this stuff either. The only way I noticed was from looking at the art that was with the OST I was listening to.

You know what I hate most about customs basically dying post Apex? That so many low tiers get way better with them. Charizard, Ganondorf, Palutena, Bowser. It's a shame that the customs meta died because of a few bullshit OP customs (Wind Kong, fucking Villager) and the unlock system being completely idiotic.

Post EVO actually.

I'm mildly anti-customs myself but that's for selfish reasons so I won't say much on this matter.

Shifting Shuriken sure is fun though.

I don't really see anything wrong with custom moves, it's just that they're tedious to get.

I love customs, and I loved getting them.

Even if I don't use them, but it's the having, not the using.

Charizard's Up B 2 kills middleweights off the top platform of Battlefield at 50. How can you not love that?

I love Charizard's Dragon Rush over his Flare Blitz. I've never liked self-damaging moves. And he doesn't fall down after he hits with Dragon Rush.

Love customs. They're a ton of fun to use.

In other news I got my Ganondorf amiibo. Training him now.

His amiibo is really well done though. Very intricate and looks dynamic. Probably my favorite amiibo yet, just passing Duck Hunt and Game and Watch.

My favorite custom moves are any of the counters that can hit without being hit, as well as that move where Diddy back flips then does a jump kick.

I don't think it is. His standard side b is better imo

I don't use any custom moves myself.

I technically haven't even unlocked them all; I used a Golden Hammer to get that challenge done, I had cleared everything else without Golden Hammers and thus felt I had proved my skill enough.

So...how many people have created stages? The stage editor in Smash 4 just does not feel as fun to mess around with.

Relevant to the subject of immovable objects, unstoppable forces, and Ganondorf: http://wizthewolf.tumblr.com/post/132621919356/figmentforms-oh-my-goodness-this-is-just-to

Also I really haven't done much with customs, I'm not really liking how much it takes to unlock all of them (it was easy to get all of them for my main, but I found all the Mii hats, costumes, AND Smash-Run powers and I'm still roughly around 60%-70% done collecting every custom move), plus the fact I can't use them online (my main source of playing with humans at the moment) are both turn offs. Though I like the concept.

Speaking of amiibo, how would one recommend a Lucario?

I kinda gimped his speed in favor of more attack and defence and gave him Ride The Wind for an up-B so his recovery isn't fucked.

Oh, and he starts with 60% damage because of All-round Trade-off.

And Auto Heal, because why not.

And desperate immortal, for giggles.

While Smash 4's custom stage creator may not have as many options as Brawl, it does make it easier to create stages with less random gimmicks like falling platforms and springs. The ability to draw your own pieces is very useful as well. Things don't have to be blocky like they were in Brawl.
