*furiously agrees with elbruno*
But it goes
1. Pikachu (obviously)
2. Charizard
3. Jigglypuff
4. Mewtwo
5. Greninja
Though, I play the latter four roughly the same amount (quite a bit) so the ranking barely applies.
Greninja used to be at the top, but over time I gradually switched back to Pikachu like in every other Smash game.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeOh, goodie. I don't like X, therefore X can go to hell from everything.
Besides, Jiggs is our Dan Hibiki. And ya don't fuck with Dan Hibiki.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."In my opinion, Charizard>Mewtwo>Jigglypuff>Pikachu>Greninja>Lucario.
Charizard is tied with Ganondorf for my favorite heavyweight, he just clicks with me and I love his moveset. Mewtwo is one of the characters I'm worst with, but he's buttloads of fun anyways. Jigglypuff is one of those characters that I play as when I'm in the mood for stupid stuff, i.e. offstage Rest. Pikachu's a good character but nothing special to me, in spite of being a Smash staple. I can't figure out Greninja for the life of me. Lucario plays like a Brawl character to me, and is way too slow and floaty compared to most other characters in the game. Probably my least favorite character to play as, at that.
Funny thing: One of my friends who I used to livestream with mained Pikachu in 64, but didn't play Melee for two reasons: Owning a PS 2 instead of a Game Cube and because Pikachu was nerfed.
Apparently, she didn't try using anyone else. She didn't like Fox in 64 so I don't think she would have used him but she probably didn't try using, say, Sheik, Peach, or Ice Climbers (I doubt her friend would have had Marth and Roy unlocked when she played it. And since she hated Fox in 64 she probably wouldn't have liked Falco in Melee).
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Jigglypuff probably would be the most logical veteran to be cut in terms of overall home series importance, but she's actually playable, unique, and there's no good reason to cut her. I don't use her, but I'm fine by it.
Ash (or preferably Brock) should've caught the anime Jigglypuff...
Also, yeah, Sing should be more useful, but if it were any moreso, it might too easily combo into Rest. The Puff does need a fairy move, though.
Don't be a dick, PMC. Across several threads, you get really combative when things don't go as you see them, and it's really unneeded for civil discussion.

My most used Pokemon would probably be Mewtwo despite him being a low-tier character. I just enjoy playing as him the best. After that is Lucario, then Jigglypuff, then Greninja, then Pikachu.
I think the Jiggs is fine as is: a both stupid and weak looking character who can be quite good in the right hands. To be quite honest, I think everyone would be quite disappointed if they completely changed her. (And I'd be lying if I didn't say I was one of those people.)
Though I'd be glad if Raichu got into Smash, too, the poor underrated thing...

"I'm glad I don't wear shoes or else I'd have to always get shoes in two different sizes. ...If you know, you know!"Roy and Morton still bug me with how absurdly tiny they are. (And Lemmy with how big he is.) Though in Roy's case it makes everything funnier when it comes to fighting the other Roy.
Eh...I'm not really going to get too much into this, but I'll say that Pikachu and Jiggs are not going to leave because they were both in the first game. It's why Ness and Captain Falcon are still in despite them having lost relevance since 64. And keep in mind that Falcon is one of my favorite SSB characters.
But I'll also say that we have the likes of Wii Fit Trainer and Villager.
My friend hates Jigglypuff. He even asks "Why is that Pokemon so powerful?"
Although when I made my own roster for a fangame idea, he was like "You forgot Ken and Dan!" when he noted that my Street Fighter picks were Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, and M. Bison. (For those curious, my idea mostly combines the franchises represented in both Smash Flash games (including the four anime shows represented. Not restricted to just the protagonist of each either (sans Bleach))
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!

I'd use Pikachu more if it was exactly the same but with the model replaced with Raichu. Jigglypuff should just be removed; it doesn't belong in a fighting game.
