He also might still be having to live the whole "better nerf Greninja" joke down. (Despite the buffs he's been getting.)
I've played with Greninja a number of times, and while I'm not terrible with him, I probably have a long way to go before I even try playing For Fun with him, much less face a high-tier player on For Glory.
"I'm glad I don't wear shoes or else I'd have to always get shoes in two different sizes. ...If you know, you know!"Speaking of Charizard, I recently returned to playing with him after hearing about his buffs, and I think I'm better with him than I used to be. Of course, that probably won't mean anything when playing with other people, but Charizard might return to being a secondary for me.
Also, that D-air is very satisfying if you sweet-spot it.
"I'm glad I don't wear shoes or else I'd have to always get shoes in two different sizes. ...If you know, you know!"Up+Special for recovery move. Know how far that recovery can go, and whether they're good horizontally or vertically. Keep count on the number of jumps you have left (easier with some characters than others). Practice, really.
Yeah, what he said.

Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805But in more seriousness, just be aware of your actions and the various consequences. Like, don't use a special that moves you far when facing the edges of the stage. Learn how to use recovery moves (typically Up Special) at the right time and place to get back to stage. Shield and dodge to avoid damage. Be very aware of how many jumps you've used and how far your recovery reaches.
It will come with time and experience most of all, so just don't give up and you'll get the hang of it.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeOkay, thanks! I'll keep practicing. I love video games, but I have pretty slow reflexes, not to mention that my battle style is usually to get up close and punch things until something dies. Not sure if there's a character who excels in that.
I still don't know how to do any things that require actual skill (...what's edgeguarding), but I'll learn in time because I plan on maining Pit until my 3DS breaks.
Currently writing something. Currently procrastinating.Pit is an all-rounder, so he's a good starter character (and has a very forgiving recovery), but if you like rushdown (up in your face) characters, then maybe something like Captain Falcon (though only at lower levels) or Ganondorf (Mighty Glacier version) might be up your alley.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I level 50'd my Pit amiibo last night. Took time playing with all of those downloaded stages.
Whenever I cap out an amiibo, I want a new one. I just want more stuff to play with them with...
More stages, more characters...
More more, always more. XP
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stay

Greninja's Hydro Pump does damage. Very little, but damage all the same.
And then there was Triple Finish where Squirtle used Hydro Pump too.
