Subspace Emissary ended up not feeling as engaging as it should. Yeah, it was a damn huge adventure mode, but, come on, everything being a damage sponge, the pauses to fight mooks (the action halting in Melee's adventure mode always involved fighting a weak character or group of such), the photorrealistic environments just because, the fuckton of Original Generation enemies...
Yeah, Melee's adventure was a cute little game, SSE made emphasis on some wrong points, and it ended up making Brawl revolve around it, as well as some sort of "casual friendly" optimization that involved making the game swallower.
And fuck direct rip trophies; Melee had newly made models for almost everything, and 4 redeemed that part.
I enjoyed Brawl the least of the Smash games. Still enjoyed it, but its overall spirit... Meh, all show and no substance.
3DS->Brawl=Melee->Flash 2.
I think less of SSF 2 because I don't have a good enough bandwidth to play it a lot.
The legend has returned.Melee had a nice trophy arrangement, yeah. Brawl's and Wii U's galleries are almost all model imports. Which is fine, but it means older or non-3D games get no trophies.
Melee made original trophies for a number of things, like the Earthbound characters and a ton of obscure NES games.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Melee > 64 >>>> 4 >>>>>> Brawl

Effects that are so much more fancy than they were in Brawl.
