The whole saying "Items make the game fun" just registers in my head as elitist. Probably because I seem to get that one can't have fun in the game unless they use items when they say that.
Of course this guy was constantly asking me to turn items on when everyone else kept saying no. He needs to git gud.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Gotta play with the group. I was at a party where we played with items and I tended to win a lot because I know how they all worked and no one else did (and I had gotten the game the day it came out so I had already been playing longer than anyone else ;p).
Then we turned them off and I didn't win as much.
Then we played For Glory style and I had a lot more trouble because they all had these annoying little tricks that I wasn't able to beat out easily.
Like Peach floating into a forward air attack or Shulk starting out with Buster and switching to Smash when my damage got high.
But in time you tend to learn how people play and react accordingly. My strategy is usually to leave some distance between me and my opponent and flail out when they get close.
Easy with Fox because his blaster can really rack up damage from far enough away.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayThat's right, I'm talking about him.
I've come to learn that in groups The Complainer Is Always Wrong. House rules rule and all.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayI've trained enough with Lucina to be able to fight with items on and off as well as on For Glory type matches.
In fact, the only time I lose is when people are being cheap asses. Case in point, Jigglypuff trying to hit me with Rest. I don't know why layers like to use that so much if they know they don't have a high chance of actually hitting me.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!Using Rest isn't cheap...unless you're in a free for all, then dodge more than attack is necessary.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. What MIGHT make Rest cheap is if it did what it did in the games.
Namely healing you whenever you needed it. ;p
You put enough space between you and your opponent then you could really knock off some damage.

Standard Lucario isn't fast enough and doesn't hit hard enough. Mega Lucario is fucking insane...

Why is Mega Lucario in Smash still so slow? A faster speed would make it far better than just being a Starman'd up damaged Lucario.

TFW: You've been playing Smash Run for a week and suddenly notice (or remember) the challenge doors and SSE doors are the same
