For anyone who has yet to vote in the Smash Ballot
(like me) and/or has yet to finalize their choice (like me), might I suggest looking at these (well-done) fanmade
character
movesets
for inspiration? (There's a lot more out there, but I'm posting on short notice, so I didn't have time to do a more thorough search.)
Think carefully, and don't let the words of certain people here disparage you.
No need to worry about sales or relevancy or anything inconsequential like that, and there's certainly no need for anyone to be a militant killjoy about this. Smash is, for the most part, a celebration of Nintendo. That means anything from the company's history is theoretically fair game. The fact that we have the Ice Climbers, the Robotic Operating Buddy, and the Duck Hunt Duo should be a testament to this fact.
Just remember that non-video game characters (and by that I mean characters who originated outside of the medium) don't have a snowball's chance in hell by general principle. I hate to be the one to break it to you if no one else has, but you're only setting yourself up for disappointment if you think someone like Goku will make it into Smash. Many a third-party character will also have slim chances, especially if they haven't appeared on a Nintendo console at all (and even then, there are exceptions, like Banjo, since Rare belongs to Microsoft). Beyond that, don't set lofty expectations as to who will actually make it aboard. There's a limited amount of space and resources for DLC characters. At best, I expect that Sakurai's team will probably pick something like the Top 3 (though I'd be pleasantly surprised if we received more than that).
It's your vote, so make it count.
This concludes an out of the blue and likely pointless PSA.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to think of how I can eloquently convince Sakurai to put Isaac in SSB4. And then weep over the various other characters note whom I will have to sacrifice like lambs to the slaughter.
Argh...
On a final, related note, (don't) vote for Daisy.
(Also, to get back on topic, I wouldn't mind a Mii Mage either. Oh, and hey everyone. Long time no see to whom it applies.)

While it's easy to say "don't get discouraged by negativity", it's also easy for people to slip in to spouting such negativity towards character you don't like, since it makes you feel like you're "Reducing their chances" in someway, thus bettering your own cause.
And you can disagree with somebody's reasoning for wanting so-and-so, even debate it, but ultimately you do have to remember that there are people who like the character and support it just as much as you do yours. Respect for the decisions of others and such.
Got back from my college gamey thingy.
Sadly, by the time smash 4 was being played, i had to leave. I saw people playing Rivals of Aether as I left too.
Anyway, I played Melee for the first time in at least a year.
You know my one friend who keeps talking about how great he is at melee and stuff? I beat him. I was using Pika and he was using Marth.
It felt good. His excuse for losing was, "I don't play Marth as much." (in relation to Jiggs).
So I can only imagine things getting better from here.

Why is Miiverse banned? It's Battlefield with memes.
Also playing Melee with my tournament-level friend is not doing much to make me confident in my abilities.
