In the interests of people who haven't voted yet, allow me to attempt to go over ideas of what you should look in to.
First and foremost, you should fundamentally vote for a character you want to see. Don't worry about who you feel has the best chances to get in, this is about telling Nintendo who you personally want to see get in the game.
But, if there's nobody who immediately jumps out at you as a "yes, this is who I want" pick, do some research. Looking around at support for a character you don't know will give you a better idea of who they are, what they could do, and why people want them. Their reasons could resonate with you, or they could not. But, you can't know that if you don't look in to them. You've got a week left for it, after all.
And now, back you your regularly scheduled Voice Acting and/or music discussion.

I understand that Nintendo was trying to replicate the so bad it's good voice acting from Star Fox 64, and that's why you got Mike West return as Fox, the problem is that the voices did not age well, and the voices in the Star Fox codecs are just bad. Not in a funny way, just in a grating way. I'd rather them focus on making the voices good like in Kid Icarus Uprising, instead of bad like a Sega CD or a 3DO game.
Kid Icarus Uprising and Fire Emblem Awakening were probably the first Nintendo games to include incredible voice acting, not So Bad, It's Good like the Star Fox games or Mario Sunshine.
I'm hoping the Mario Maker stage will include the Final Boss theme from Galaxy 1 (Battle for the Grand Star), Rawk Hawk from Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door, and Rainbow Road from Mario Kart 64 (preferably the remix from Mario Kart 8).
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Considering the setting of the stage, I wouldn't be surprised if we got a retro-medley of a bunch of songs from the NES games represented. (Super Mario Bros and Super Mario Bros. 3.) I also imagine that they'll implement some of the new tunes from Maker into the game as well.
"I'm glad I don't wear shoes or else I'd have to always get shoes in two different sizes. ...If you know, you know!"I just want the SMB 1 and SMW airship themes. They sound
so good
.
I found this video
, which I think would be perfect for an improved Ganon moveset.

By means of an actual budget, of course.
And even then, Xenoblade and Punch-Out precede both of them.

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyI suspect Mario Maker's "main" track will just be whatever theme the stage is; if it's overworld in Super Mario World style it'll be the main Super Mario World theme, ect.
As for other tracks, I can see the boss music from the flyswatter game being in it.
A "modern" remix of the Super Mario Bros. airship theme would be nice too. Of all the original tracks in SMM it's probably the catchiest and would sound great with modern instrumentation.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
I suspect they'll either be related to Super Mario Maker itself or the four represented games (the original Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario World, or the New Super Mario Bros series), so I'm not really expecting them to use tracks from games other than those.
@Plasm Wraith questions a few pages back: Simple, I imagine he'll be the Eldritch Abomination character of the roster like how they made Arakune work in Blaz Blue.
The Plasm Wraith can be in a variety of sizes as seen in Pikmin3, so maybe just make it about Dedede's height or something.
It's A attacks can be done with it's amorphous body shifting in various ways, like it's jab is that needle-arms attack, it's down-air being creating a sphere made of itself and slamming it downwards, it's forward smash being spitting a chunk of itself and re-absorbing it, etc..
It's specials can utilize it's abilities to summons various elements and mimic certain enemies from the Pikmin series. There's also the fact that it can freaking leviatate, so that can be it's possible recovery.
Also, there are quite a few implications that the Plasm Wraith is responsible for many of the conflicts within the Pikmin series, and thus the series antagonist. Even then, it is very popular amongst the fanbase.
Having another Pikmin rep would be good, and who else could we use? All the other captains fight pretty much exactly like Olimar.
And lastly, Pikmin 4 was recently announced, so I think having another Pikmin rep for that would be fantastic. Especially if they decide to go deeper in to the role of the Plasm Wraith.

If some scenes weren't dropped...then maybe we wouldn't have needed that.
