That's the only bad thing about him to me.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Except when the new Fire Emblems and new games & series come around and she faces competition from the now most relevant characters. Meanwhile, Robin's moveset and concept is pretty damn unique, even among similiar characters, that it becomes hard to justify not having him around to rep Fire Emblem.
Like, seriously, a lot of the comments I've heard from you (and a couple others) in terms of why Lucina should be in and diverge from Marth give me flashbacks to why Sakurai ultimately scrapped Chrom. A decloned Lucina would be in the same boat.
I'm pretty sure Ganondorf got popular because he was in the best videogame of all time and was a damn fine villain as well. And also because Ganondorf technically already existed since the very first Zelda.
Also, Zelda is a bigger series than Fire Emblem. Ganondorf would have been a no-brainer for future Smash games regardless of whether or not he'd show up in Melee because he's able to stay relevant without relying on Smash, simply because he's the most iconic villain of the franchise and a reoccuring character within it as well.
Falco meanwhile made it in at a point where his series was at a high point. After that, he's still one of the most recognizable characters from that franchise, along with Wolf, and benefits from being in a series that 1. isn't dead. 2. is a stable, reocurring character within that series who does not need to rely on Smash to stay relevant. Would Lucina have made as many appearances as she did if she wasn't featured in Smash? I doubt it.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Also, Fire Emblem has that tiny detail of lacking recurring characters for the most part. So does Zelda to a degree, hence why it is somewhat underrepresented (c'mon, give us Impa, the remaining recurring character).
Fire Emblem, well... yeah. You get dozens of units per game, and you may see some of those in a direct sequel, and that's it. Oh, and Anna will sell you stuff no matter the game, and she seems to be turning into a recurring unit, so there's that.
What competition? Lucina's basically a female Marth. She's recognizable (to a degree) when compared to Ike and Robin and even then she still has fans despite having a few appearances.
Who's to say she won't have more?
As far as Star Fox not being dead, I had to stop laughing so I could get up off the floor.
It's BECAUSE of Smash and Star Fox 64 that Fox and Falco and them are even relevant. In fact, when was the last Star Fox game that WASN'T a re-release? It's only this year that we're getting Star Fox Zero.
Tell me more jokes. You're pretty damn funny.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth! We're not getting Star Fox Zero this year.
Fire Emblem may be bigger than Star Fox at the moment (Awakening sold 1.8 million, Fates will clear 1 million with no problem, Zero has no chance of selling well), but independent of Smash Fox, Falco, and Wolf are still decently iconic characters since Star Fox 64 alone makes them famous. The best selling Fire Emblem took it out of niche status. The best selling Star Fox kept the series famous for decades and has become a small, but important part of gaming history. The two series are not comparable at all.

I read somewhere that it meant characters who people really really like and might even be in love with as crazy as that sounds. I really like Lucina so I don't see a problem with referring to her as such, although I do get that some people might find me saying that creepy so I mostly just keep it to myself or express it somewhere where I won't get made fun of. Honestly, I do know that it is unhealthy to be obsessed with things like certain characters and what not so I try and socialize with other people so I don't start seeing things.
This doesn't mean that I don't have my favorites list of characters, though.
Why do you ask?
Exactly, which is why I said he was funny.

You can't get it wrong if it's the truth! You'd only dismiss them if they're wrong or irrelevant.

Rock Smash is amazing on bosses. It's how I first cleared Boss Battles back in Brawl.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
