Well really, I'd rather he get new voice lines a la Silver Lightan, but I can't assume most people would get that reference, and there wasn't as much work there.
Lucina might be cut from the next game, but even if she is, I don't think she should be. Like a lot of people said, she has a lot of potential for new moves and I've come up with like ten different movesets for her based on Awakening alone.
In fact, I had this idea to change her final smash. Maybe instead of copying Marth her version can steal health from her enemies like that one move she does in her game.
Lucina is INSANELY popular outside of smash. She was voted most popular character in Japan's Fire Emblem vote thing and her amiibo literally sold out in a minute. There are entire legions of deviantart groups and cosplayers out there that play as her too.
But I digress. Just because I love the character doesn't guarantee that she'll be in the next game. Even if she does get cut, at least she made it into an entry for the Smash Bros series and that's all I ever asked for.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!Considering the logic and trends of amiibo suppliers, that actually works more against your argument if anything.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyI don't think Lucina or Duck Pit are at too big a risk to get cut for next game. They're clones, yes, but that makes them extra-easy to implement. They just need to port over their models and apply them to Marth and Pit's character builds, with a few tweaks.
Now, if they were cut from the base game but later reinstated as DLC characters with heavily diversified movesets, like Roy, I wouldn't really mind.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I'd put Mewtwo, Lucas, and Roy in the vanilla next game and add Ryu and whoever is/are the ballot character(s) as DLC later.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.Man, you must like Lucina as much as I like spaghetti and meatballs. And that means a lot, of course.

"I'm glad I don't wear shoes or else I'd have to always get shoes in two different sizes. ...If you know, you know!"It's mostly her character, really. I was never into JRP Gs but I finally caved and bought Awakening on a whim.
I am so glad I did. Lucina's character and story are very well done and unlike any other characters I usually play as.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth! So I noticed someone posted an article saying that Smash is up for maintenance next Wednesday. (Which happens to be the day we get the Super Mario Maker stage.) This probably means a patch is coming. Do you think people will find data for Ballot characters in it?
"I'm glad I don't wear shoes or else I'd have to always get shoes in two different sizes. ...If you know, you know!"In Fire Emblem canon itself, my favorite lords are the Awakening trio of Lucina, Robin (Female version, at least), and Chrom. ESPECIALLY Lucina since she was my first Fire Emblem amiibo and my first Japanese imported amiibo (Yes, before fucking Captain Falcon). Ike would be after those 3. I can't judge Marth and Roy in the FE canon since I've never played their games.
Though in Smash for me, me it's Roy>Lucina>Ike>Marth>Robin.
Also, Lucina and Dark Pit are very likely to be Luigified for the next game like Falco, Ganondorf, Luigi, and Roy were.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!

Even though I don't use him, I like having Dark Pit be separate.
I dunno, he feels like he's got a lot of character to me.
Alph doesn't really. He talks a whole lot less than Olimar and controls the same in his game. Dark Pit is a little different in Kid Icarus: Uprising, at least when you fight him.
Well, he's already in there anyway. Only thing you can do is keep adding fighters and hope you can appease your fanbase. :p
(Protip: you never can.)
