You want to know who I hate? DONKEY BITCH ASS!
I have been getting steamrolled by him all damn day. First it was a pink bitch ass, then it was a blue one!
HOW!?
Also, lag sucks. I once beat this one guy so bad he quit on the first kill.
This other time I went into sudden death and the guy ran off the stage when I kept countering Link's arrows.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!I...
I'm a repeat-offender rage-quitter. All too often, I'll be down a stock about 18 seconds in, and just end the match to save everyone's time and get my opponent someone worth fighting that bit quicker.
I know, it's shameful, and I should better just stay offline so I don't clog up the queues with my brief attempts to play worth a damn against people.
I have a message from another time...I have nothing against rage quitters.
... Unless they're on my team in a team based situation.
But if I'm fighting against a rage quitter... Eh, I'm not upset. I'll probably be more amused than anything. I'm not even that great. I'm not some "pro MLG", airhorn blasting, dewrito guzzling douchebag who swears by high tier characters only and wrecks everyone in the name of whoever is on top of the list right now.
And yet, someone found me such an insurmountable obstacle that they just gave up. This amuses me.

I've only seen rage quitters in the situation where they've lost a stock very early, usually from a bad mistake on their part, or spent the first minute unable to get any damage and they realize they might be out of their league. Usually it's the former, which is understandable. Even if it's not specifically For Fun, it's normal to see that a match isn't going well and you just want to get a fresh start.
Though I do admit, I personally can't bring myself to do that. I've had enough crazy turnabouts, both for and against me, that I always keep fighting.
I'm assuming we mean "rage quit" as purely "kills themselves midgame to end it" and not "I left the lobby to find a new opponent." If we're using that broader definition, I've done that all the time. No point in me playing against someone who is absolutely dominating me, even more so if they're being rude about it - rare as that is.
... In fact, I think I've only gotten two, maybe three For Glory matches against people who used their name tag to be rude. One of which was a guy who just kept losing and I guess was upset? I've had some people say "no rolling" or "spamming" but considering my playstyle... I mean... I think I should spam MORE with ROB, if anything, and the only move a human can spam with Dedede is his down tilt...
I'm pretty sure the concept of Law having limits was a translation error. -WanderlustwarriorI had maybe four people tops be rude to me in F'glory.
And yeah, leaving the lobby isn't a rage quit.
But being rude and leaving is just... Rude.
ANYWHO. I can share my NNID if I get a PM about it.
And about "spamming" well... Nobody complains about people constantly using most close range moves, only projectiles. What it is up with that?
Though some fast firing ones can become hard to deal with.

So far, the only time I've ever rage-quit a match was when the game kept putting me up against a pro-Peach player who stomped the ever living you-know-what out of me no matter who I played with. Eventually I just gave up and dove off the side of the stage in the middle of a match. I was so mad it was a long time before I actually tried playing online again. (!,!-&$!?& rainbows...)
"I'm glad I don't wear shoes or else I'd have to always get shoes in two different sizes. ...If you know, you know!"So, I just found out that a prominent user in the Super Smash Flash 2 community is... no longer there.
I'm pretty shaken up about it, and so are a lot of us on those forums.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI've only ragequit a match if I have made a boo-boo really early into the match. Or if I'm at a low percentage.
What is your guys's stance is on people continuously asking to put all items on. I've had this happen before and it annoys me when I have to say "no" a million times. I don't mind putting some items on but I don't ever want to put all on. Especially considering that some are completely overpowered. Namely Master Ball, Ore Club, and Gust Bellows. Although this one kid in my CAD class thinks that overpowered items make the game fun....though what makes the game fun is beating up other Nintendo characters.
My condolences to that person's friends and family

AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!
For me, all items is fine when the frequency is set to Low. They're actually not too disruptive then; even the Master Ball / Ore Club / Gustbellows are rare enough to not be a considerable threat then.
x6: I think I've only ever had two name changes directed towards me; "SMAM MUCH?" and "F•CK YOU". I was playing as Mewtwo both times.
As for "no rolling", though it's probably not what that guy meant, it's definitely sound advice; I've been trying to crush my rolling habit with extreme prejudice because rolling is all-around terrible despite feeling safe.
I use the 20XX Melee Training hack primarily because it has an option where every roll automatically KO's the roller for this exact purpose.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI almost never play with items outside of For Fun, mostly because the only people I have to play with are online and nobody ever asks me for them.
Otherwise I generally like playing with items so I don't mind if they are all on unless I'm trying to get practice with my character. I do kinda hate getting hit with the beetle though, but not enough to actually ban it.
I don't mind items, but I usually have items I don't like or are over-powered disabled (such as the aforementioned Gust Bellows). I also have been meaning to disable the Jetpack just because it's annoying when the CPU gets it. Almost as soon as they grab one, they fly up off the top of the screen and don't come down for several seconds. It's even worse if they had a Super Leaf before hand (which happens more often than you'd think) meaning they're offscreen for as much as twelve seconds while I'm trying to hit him. (Humorously, I did hit one guy once and over the upper blast line he went.)

"I'm glad I don't wear shoes or else I'd have to always get shoes in two different sizes. ...If you know, you know!"Heh, I don't mean to brag, but recently I had an opponent ragequit their second stock because I beautifully 0-to-deathed the first one. Can't say that didn't feel good.

No regret shall pass over the threshold!I can play with or without items.
Though I prefer to turn a few off:
- Masterball
- Assist Trophy
- Golden Hammer
- Hammer
- Gust Bellows
- Boss Galaga
- Beetle
- Heart Container
- Fairy Bottle
- Smoke Ball
I can't remember all ofthem right now, but those are a few.
Either because they're blatantly over powered or just useless, like the smokeball.
Oh, but I also like to play Smash Ball only.
I kinda wished the player made tourneys would act more like the "regular" ones. And that you could send some kind of invite message to people that would pop on-screen.
The only items I leave off are Gust Bellows, Special Flag, Dragoon, and Daybreak.
Call me butter, because I am on a roll! 3ds friend code: 5258-0885-3903 Wii U: Bowser CharizardI usually play with items on.
I like the Special Flag for
those reasons. It's rare that anybody ACTUALLY holds it long enough to get an extra stock, and it creates a hilarious amount of chaos, especially in a four-person match.
Gust Bellows is the only item I'm sorta iffy on, and even then I'm fairly good at not getting blown away so it doesn't bug me much. My family gets pissed at me (or anyone else) for getting a KO with it though.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I usually have Smash Ball, Assist Trophy, Green Shell, Motion-Sensor Bomb, Super Mushroom, Bunny Hood (sometimes, people can get really annoying when it is used), Lightning, Not Lightsaber (Beam Sword, I have no idea how to do the cross out thing), Star Rod, Pitfall, Green Shell, Boomerang, Cucco, and Beehive.
Even then, when I leave items off, I always leave Smash Ball on.
For some reason most people i play with want both Poke Ball and Master Ball on. I do like Poke Ball a bit more than Master Ball but I hate the Legendaries in this game because of how blatantly overpowered they are.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Wasn't Kyogre also rather intentionally terrible?
Besides, whether or not an active obstacle is avoidable doesn't really mean much if/when your opponent can easily coordinate with it. Especially now that most of the legendaries are pretty much just glorified KO opportunities.

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guy

If a game stops being fun, stop playing, at least for a bit. It's obvious-sounding advice, I'll admit, but sometimes you just need to remind yourself of that.
I sure said that!
