I get everything for both versions except for costumes.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.I don't have any DLC yet. When I get funds I'll probably prioritize the fighters, then the stages.
I rarely use Miis (mostly because they can't be used online and I have nobody to play with) so I probably won't bother with costumes unless I decide to get packs or have extra money and decided to go for 100% DLC completion
We played Melee once in my CAD class last year the day before Christmas break. We got more people to play Melee than when we played SSB 64.
It's been a blast so far. Is it just me or is the amount of time you need to press the button in Melee to do a short hop crazy short? I still need to get used to that. I'm pretty terrible: the other guys wavedash circles around me lol.

Yeah, Melee's pretty ridiculous.
But I'm determined to become good at Melee just to beat an asshole friend of mine who does nothing but complain about how Smash 4 isn't like Melee.
Seriously. All his mains are top-tier characters from Melee, and whenever he plays Smash 4 he whines about this or that happening or being better in Melee. It isn't even like he's that good at the game, he only started playing recently. and he kinda acts like he's better than the rest of us at smash when he isn't.
So I'm planning at getting good at Melee so I can destroy him and his hopes and dreams.

The guys I play with like 4 but don't play it all that much because it messes with their Melee game.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonI think you misunderstand how mediocre he is at the game
like
even without spending any time playing project M, I still beat him most of the games we played despite the fact he had been training up until that point. also, I was using a nunchuck and he a gamecube
so I can't imagine Melee being much different, especially since I own the game and can practice myself.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI'm fine with people who dislike Brawl and 4 because they're less competitive than Melee. I disagree with that opinion but I can see why they would have it. I hate it when people hate things just because it's not Melee. I find that up there with Pokemon genwunners in terms of annoyingness.

I don't tend to use Mii Fighters often, so the Costumes are the only things I tend not to get.
