So guys, I'm curious as to what you think is the scariest looking version of Giga Bowser. Melee, Brawl, or 4?
Call me butter, because I am on a roll! 3ds friend code: 5258-0885-3903 Wii U: Bowser CharizardHmm.
I'd have to say they all look like silly chicken monsters, so it's hard to take it seriously.
But honestly, I wish Bowser would get a new Final Smash and Giga Bowser would be used as a boss enemy in an Event Match or something, instead of one of the worst Final Smashes in the game.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I'm not even going to attempt to argue with you on the details... I'm pretty sure we've done it a million times and you're well aware that it's unreasonable.
It feels like all I can try to do is be harsh. Buddy, find something else. Like, I don't know your situation, I don't want to open the can of worms because I believe you when you say it's complicated and there's nothing I could do about any of it. But just do it. When you just tell yourself that it's complicated and there's nothing else left for you, you're just giving up and making things easy on yourself. Struggling is hard, it seems harder than just sucking it up and bearing the pain, but you've got to just do it. It is hard, and you'll fail a lot of times, but go there, do it, and even if you're not getting anywhere at first, be proud of yourself for putting up a fight. And maybe in that pride, you'll find just the little bit of extra strength you need to put yourself further. Give yourself a purpose. Don't just stick to what's making you hurt because you're scared of what's out there.
Again, I've struggled and still struggle with that every day of my life, so don't think I'm calling you out. My words come from a place of respect. Some people like us just have to be fighters, and it's not fair, but we have to be proud and make the best of it.
(I could've sent this as a PM instead but I want to dissuade people from getting all hung up on little things like "you should just play yoshi if you like him", which is true but not what you need to hear, I think. Also there's the slight possibility that there's someone else in the audience who needed to hear this today, so, here's to you, hypothetical lurker.)
I don't recall anything about Giga being changed between games design-wise, but Melee would take it easily due to him actually being a threat there.
...Or just find a sub?
Plus that.

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyJeez, five hours away from a computer and we got a very heated discussion.
I've been on the other end of vitriol from Smash fans. This one coming from the casual-ish side regarding items. Basically one of my friends was angry at how little I use items and thought I was being a dick to those that do, even saying "I won't play video games with you if you'll let item usage be a Berserk Button to you". This is why I consider myself neutral.
Of course, it bugs me to hear "PPB, put on items" constantly from some people, so that might be why I hardly turn on items that aren't Smash Balls.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!I love playing both casually and competitively. If someone doesn't want to do one, I'm always willing to do the other. There are a lot of items that I love to abuse, and it is pretty fun, but I love competitive as an actual test of skill as a character versus another, as it cuts out the randomized bs that is items.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeRE: Palutena: Late reply, but it's mostly that she's slow to attack, so most of her kill moves put her in a bad position should she whiff. She also has to play more defensively thanks to being limited to her basic skill set, but whether or not that's a bad thing seems to vary from player to player. As I mentioned before, I'm very used to her basic set, so I don't really find any of her default specials outright terrible (I still really dislike Auto Reticle though).
From what I recall, Samus's issues seem to stem from lack of power/kill moves and having bad hitboxes (unsure if they're as bad as Mewtwo's or better/neutral than Mewtwo's).

Basically my thoughts. The items are way too random for me. I actually did say that fighting without items is a test of skill, while my mom said "but fighting with items is a test of skill". And my friend was like "why don't you play something like Mortal Kombat instead?".

AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Seek help. Because those are severe self-worth issues.
You were the guy who had to define himself as competitive to not be a "filthy casual", right? Well, seek help, because you have a problem that will crush you in the long run, and screaming at the world to change so you can try to keep being molded by your issues is a sign that things aren't going alright.
Nobody is laughting as you.

Yeah, cause it is either full randomness, or playing a different game. Why use the customization options to find something enjoyable? For fuck's sake, uselessly judgmental people are ennerving...

Double whoops, I actually was right the first time. Again, I have no idea.
For the record, I chose the Bravely Default main characters.

we will survive. Both Wolf and Dixie have a decent chance because of Dixie being in Tropical Freeze and Star Fox Zero.
Those were the two characters I voted for but Wolf supplanted Dixie because I only used one comp. Maybe I can use my CAD comp to vote for Dixie.
Even though I know it will never happen, for some reason I wouldn't mind seeing the main characters of Inu Yasha becoming playable SSB fighters. Hey, a guy can dream, can't he? Alas, I can only replicate them via Mii Fighters.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!I'm personally not a fan of alternate costumes being entirely different characters from the original (As such, not a big fan of Alph and the Koopalings as a result, though the latter are more forgivable since you're playing as the clown copter basically), so I'd be somewhat disappointed to see her relegated to Marth costume.
Alternate costumes would honestly be the best way to bring her back, given that Roy, while a clone, was not intended to be Easy Mode Marth. He was intended to be his opposite (hence why their sweet-spots are different), and thus the potential for Luigification was always there, kinda like Falco and Ganondorf (and he was likely scheduled for that in Brawl but obviously didn't make it at the time so Sakurai instead realized it in Smash 4 when he decided he wanted to make extra content for the consumer).
Even Sakurai has limits. Perhaps you are forgetting why Chrom didn't make the cut? Sakurai even stated that "he'd would just end up being another plain-old sword-wielder like Marth and Ike. Compared with other characters, he lacks any unique characteristics."
Why do you think only Robin was the planned FE newcomer for the roster? Chrom, and by extension Lucina, are just plain sword-wielders in his eyes, but Sakurai found a way to add her in as a Marth costume (likely because he knows she's popular), initially, then separated her into a clone character when he found a reason to do so (by making her into someone who could teach beginners the fundamentals of Marth's playstyle).
I myself can only see her return in the future if she stays a Moveset Clone or goes back to being a costume.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Being a Venus Adept, I would expect Isaac to share Little Mac's weaker air game and stronger ground game, but probably not to the same ridiculous degree. I don't really know anything about how this would place him on the tier list (especially considering how volatile the tiers are), but having to actually launch your opponent away rather than gimping them is probably a fairly significant weakness.

@79307: My situation is very, very complicated. Seriously, you don't want to open that can of worms. But yeah, that's pretty much what's going on. It's the only thing I've got left to turn to. So when I feel like someone's trying to take it away from me, which includes making me feel too humiliated or guilty to go on, I panic.
If I don't play strictly by tournament rules, I get laughed at for being a filthy casual. So all I can try to do is try to advocate for tournament rules to be more bearable.
And what do I mean by guilt? Well, I've mained Yoshi for three games in a row, and was GOING to main him in the fourth, but he just had to be a fucking A-tier... I really hope he gets severely nerfed so I can safely play as him without being called a tier whore again.
Yeah, I get laughed at by casual players, too. I just can't win. I'm just on the competitive side because they laugh a lot harder, and I'd rather be the enemy than incite the enemy's wrath.
@79304: I'm aware of that. It's why I brought up Yoshi's Story and Dream Land in Melee earlier; they're Battlefield with different shapes, proportions, and blast zones.
