Also vaguely of note- Phoenix Wright, in MvC, doesn't throw punches or anything- All his attacks are him somehow causing damage by showing documents or scrounging for clues on the ground and so on. The closest he gets is lobbing swarming streams of energy-charged documentation in Turnabout Mode and shoving his opponent behind a witness stand to give a(n unfortunately generic) rebuttal to them so as to knock them out in trademark fashion.
And calling in Maya and his nightmare of the judge for certain attacks, I guess.
I sure said that!<Spoiler tagged just in case.

There's also the fact that it was intentional to make Phoenix like that, as part of the point was that he "fought" without throwing any actual punches, since Ace Attorney doesn't actually have physical fights shown on screen outside of flashbacks.
Professor Layton is a touch more serious than Ace Attorney on its conflicts, even if only the tiniest amount so, and Layton himself doesn't necessarily have that to fall on, having been in actual fights in his series. Of course, Villager and WFT already allow non-action attack moves, maybe he can adopt a few involving his adventures and puzzles in addition to his actual combat prowess as a fencer.
There's also Missile running into opponents as Phoenix's throws and as an assist move.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!sonic is the name, unexpected comebacks are my game
Robin. She represents a side of FE that shows it's more than swlords, what with his magic and weapon-use limit systems.
Heh. And it actually makes sense that weapon degradation didn't come up until now. Falchion, Ragnell (and I'm assuming the sword of seals?) are the obligatory "sword that doesn't degrade" of their respective games.
I have a message from another time...![]()

1. Robin (Male spellcaster who primarily uses thunder magic and can use dark magic too? Fuck yeah!)
2. Roy (His retool made him incredibly cool! If not for that, he would probably have been fourth or fifth.)
3. Marth (Actually somewhat comple in terms of fighting style.)
4. Ike (He's cool, but a bit too slow for my liking.)
5. Lucina (Doesn't really stand out too much due to being Easy Modo!Marth. That said, while she's my second-least favorite character, I don't particularly dislike her.)
It's more like an alternate universe regarding all things Nintendo. My alternate Nintendo universe thing combines all Nintendo franchises into one universe.
Just repeat the MST 3 K Mantra to yourself and try not to make sense of it.
And yes, I'm well aware my thought process doesn't work with Awakening, that's why it's more of an alternate universe. Anytime I've thought of this idea, I've usually had it happen with my alternate universe idea not having Awakening's events happen. Fire Emblem gets affected the most of all Nintendo franchises.
And your headcanon isn't making me willing to suspend my disbelief in it. Especially with how your headcanon tries to justify Lucina's relationship with the Robins.
Which itself is deconfirmed by the game and official materials.
That too. Too bad for fans of F!Robin that the way Robin made it into Smash ultimately cut off the branches to her disadvantage. What happened to demote her importance will likely never be known, but such is life.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!
Yeah, I'm moving on from that discussion.
In general, my big Nintendo universe makes massive changes to Fire Emblem. It functions a lot like the main Marvel and DC universes. An like I said, most of the time Male!Robin doesn't exist in them.
Now I'm moving on from this particular discussion.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!I just kinda wish that there was more representation for the FE weapon triangle, like Hector from Blazing Sword for the axe, or Ephraim from Sacred Stones for the lance. Of course, that discussion's been had many a time before, but I can appreciate why.

Indeed. I mean, even if most of those things don't really mesh well with playable concepts, they're certainly ripe with possibilities for items and/or ATs. Imagine, for instance, if they replaced the boomerang item with a hand-axe, or if they brought in a pegasus sister triangle attack (doesn't really matter which set, though Palla, Catria and Est would probably be the most applicable) for an AT.
I maintain that certain series are horribly underrepresented in terms of assist trophies (Pokémon obviously not counting since they get the Poké- and Master ball items), given the scope of their history. I mean, only one Fire Emblem AT, and nothing for DK? I mean, seriously, throw in Rambi or one of the other animal buddies!
Exactly what I was thinking. I mean, Rambi is the first DK-based AT that comes to mind because Rambi is the main animal buddy (to the point that he's the only one in the Returns games that you can ride anymore), but there's loads of others. Failing that, you could bring in one of the other members of the Kong Clan.

Hey, if Capcom was able to use Phoenix Wright in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, I don't see why Sora can't use Layton.
