Yeah, because people can't have fun playing competitive. That's against the law.
Seriously though, don't be that guy. They tailored the game to be fun for a different type of crowd.
Edit: Also Sadcasm Mode needs to be a thing. Phone typos are fun.

I like some of Project M's ideas but others are incredibly forced- Why does R.O.B. need to recover via Cave Story mechanics?
So basically, what a shock- Mixed bag.
I sure said that!I just scored a hilariously awesome Bowsercide KO against an Ike at 0% on his last stock against my totally unsuspecting brother in Brawl. I wish I had recorded it.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas Edison@78279: Not anymore. The original, hazardéd versions of the stages can be chosen by holding L now.
It took ages to trick the game's filesystem into essentially doubling the amount of stage slots, but they finally figured out how to do it.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerAnd the stages on Page 2 are unaltered.
Also, I got a few more amiibos on Saturday:
- Little Mac (so I have completed Wave 2)
- Meta Knight
- Ness
- Lucario
- Shulk
so, 4 store exclusives plus the rarest unicorn ever. I'm getting another store exclusive in the mail soon (don't know when he'll arrive). Though I imported all the birthday amiibo sans Marth from Japan. Marth and Fox are the only unicorns that have not been imported from Japan. My Marth is a reprint so I don't have a Morth.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!So I was watching a video on Youtube about some basic advanced moves (like wavedashing and such), just out of curiosity. I then went into the comments, like I do on every video.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonYeeeaaaahhh... The online communities for Melee in general are very toxic towards new players, and in general, and are very stuck up. It's sorta the same for competitive Project M, though no where near as much.
It's part of the reason that the competitive Melee scene seems to be (slowly) dying.

At the same time though, it's inherently built towards the competitive scene, so if you're not particularly interested in that aspect, things may be lost on you.
