Robin's trailer just reminds me of the sole instance people suddenly stopped taking Sakurai's own statements seriously in favor of insisting that Lucina wasn't going to be Marth.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyCaptain Falcon- Great Fire Emblem baddie, or greatest Fire Emblem baddie?
It's kinda great how much Captain Falcon's reputation has been more or less canonized by now- He beat Chrom and nearly beat Lucina simultaneously, and Robin's surprise arrival just barely slowed him.

The bit that makes Duck Hunt's trailer truly great is probably Mario's SMB sprite's Bring It gesture.

I sure said that!I still posit that the Capt. Falcon amiibo should have been compatible with Fire Emblem Fates as a Guest Unit of sorts.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Do you guys have characters that you wish were playable in Smash 4?
My list of characters that are in the game yet not playable:
- Chrom
- Ridley
- Waluigi
- Ashley
- Shadow
- Saki
- Phosphora
The Assist Trophies could make it in as DLC, since Sakurai's team could just disable the coding for their Assist Trophy.
And the following would be DLC:
- Wolf
- Snake
- King K. Rool
- Dixie Kong
- Krystal
- Bomberman
- Travis Touchdown
- Ray MK II
- Isaac
- Paper Mario
- Roll

Isn't that like half of what any Smash forum on the internet always talks about?
One guy I recently talked with at a convention reckons they should take Snake's moveset and give it to Sami from Advance Wars. Granted, I wouldn't consider Sami to be the face of the series (as I feel that title would go to either Andy or Nell), but it does make the most sense given her look and status as the infantry specialist.

Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805My favorite trailers were the initial reveal/Villager's, Little Mac's and DH Trio's.
Also, on the point about Mario-related characters with their own game, Bowser and Bowser Jr. <and the Koopalings, for that matter> have yet to have their own games.
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Sunshine was functionally Bowser Jr's story as much as Galaxy was Rosalina's.
The only thing about the former that would have held him back from the rest is that he's never been playable outside of sports.

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyKojima mentioned it, yes. Konami itself likely couldn't care less outside of free money.

Same. Not only did it disprove that godawful leak that everybody and their mother seemed to be buying into and taking as gospel, but it was funny, well-animated, gave us some great jokes (Chrom in the Yamcha pose, Captain Falcon being unstoppable, and Robin flipping through his book, for example), revealed two characters even if one of them's a clone, and was good enough that it prompted me to try Fire Emblem out, a decision I don't regret. Robin also wound up being my favorite newcomer.
Shulk's trailer was interesting when it first came out, but in retrospect it's sorta... meh. It's just Shulk talking in lines recycled from in-game. Though the shadowy cameo of the best Nintendo villain of all time at the end was nice.
And Duck Hunt's trailer is probably the funniest overall.
