I've discovered that right when Bowser's item throwing animation is about to end he gets into a stance similar to that of his stances in Melee and Brawl: all hunched over and more animalistic. As soon as the animation actually ends though, he snaps back to his upright stance. So maybe Sakurai didn't initially plan on making him stand straight up?

Call me butter, because I am on a roll! 3ds friend code: 5258-0885-3903 Wii U: Bowser CharizardIn my experience, most ice cream outlets actually ask if you want whipped cream on your sundaes.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyFair enough.
Then they're like the little celery sticks that come with an order of buffalo wings. Or the little sprig of parsley sticking out of a rice pilaf. Or the sesame seeds on the bun of a hamburger. They don't really add much of anything, but they certainly don't detract, they make it look nice, and they have their fans.
Damnit, now I'm hungry.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
x5 It's the same case with Yoshi's Super Mushroom animation. For a frame or two, you can see his Brawl posture just before he fully grows/shrinks back to normal before standing upright as usual.
I mean, it makes sense, considering Giga Bowser is supposed to be a more feral version of Bowser. It also helps to differentiate them a little bit.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.I wonder if the ballot fighters will get intro videos too?
And on another subject, does anyone else get really annoyed when you beat someone, and then they swap to the character you're using and beat you? Because I HATE when that happens, and that's almost the only time I ever see someone else using Greninja on 3DS For Glory too >_<

So... are we forgetting about the over representation on the Mario series? However, I think I know why, because as far as I know, this was made during the time when Nintendo was REALLY milking the franchise, and thus, The Mario series (even without Yoshi and Wario) has more characters and stages than Pokemon, Kid Icarus, and Fire Emblem.
I'm not a big fan of how over-represented the Mario series is in Smash, but I understand why because it's the big franchise for Nintendo.
Though I usually play as the non-Mario/Pokemon characters and sometimes will use characters from the two aforementioned games (namely: Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Lucario, and Mewtwo. I'm counting Wario and the Kongs as part of their own franchises and not Mario's).
Has anyone made a Mii of Freddy using the Bear Mii costume?

AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Eh, I've felt like if there was a series that was getting too much attention it was Mario. But then I also realized almost all the characters connected to Mario ALSO have had their own games (the only one I can think of that hasn't is Rosalina, but Smash is the only time I've actually seen her).
Plus there's the whole 'Nintendo and Mario essentially founded gaming post-Atari era' thing. So it doesn't bother me too much.

I wouldn't mind if they kept Lucina and Dark Pit in 5 and differentiated them from their respective original counterparts to the point of making them semi-clone status. Then again, I wouldn't miss Lucina too much as a clone because we already have a Marth semi-clone that most people don't seem to mind (Roy).
