Okay, why are fans so upset that K. Rool is a Mii costume? Just because he's a Mii costume, doesn't mean that he won't be playable. Meta Knight's Mii costume was revealed before he himself was revealed so no need to worry. Same goes for Lloyd. Chrom, Dunban, and possibly Heihachi are the only Mii costumes that won't become playable characters.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!I think Chrom was specifically given "not happening" status for being too much like the other sword users. Lucina only got in as a last minute addition because the Dev team gave her costume some minor differences, which Sakurai thought was good enough for a separate character slot.

and
Lucina does have one major difference from Marth with her sword lacking a tipper. Dark Pit I know has a final smash and his side-b has some electrical properties.
How many Smash fans don't hate Dark Pit or Lucina? I actually like using them and have mained them since I first made my favorite characters list.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!It's because Dark Pit has the edge.
And I seriously don't get why everyone has their panties in a twist over clones. It's not like not having them would have resulted in more characters, or have done us any good. We would just have less characters.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeChrom's been deconfirmed as playable since he was used as Robin's Final Smash. It's unfortunate Chrom didn't make the cut, I guess, but it's not like we don't already have a ton of different sword users, several of which come from his own universe.
I'm more disappointed that Lucina came in with a clone moveset, when Awakening had a lot to draw from for an original moveset. But then again, that's every Fire Emblem character in Smash, basically. I don't think Sakurai has really played a Fire Emblem game.
I'm pretty sure the concept of Law having limits was a translation error. -WanderlustwarriorIt just wouldn't. Chrom isn't a smooth agile fighter like Marth (and Lucina) in the games, nor is he the brute strength aggro fighter that Ike is.
Making him a costume, or clone, of either of them would also doom him to never getting the unique moveset he deserves, either.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeHave to wonder why Chrom is ill-fit as a Marth clone but Lucina isn't; aside from taking on Marth's name for a few chapters she doesn't have much in common with him. And her swordplay is described as being more like her father's than Marth's.
Either way, I don't hate any of the clone characters since it's not as if they're taking away slots from other, more unique characters; they're just the whipped cream on top of an ice cream sundae. Dark Pit does earn a bit of my ire because besides being a clone he's also contributing to Uprising's gross overrepresentation and feels like very obvious favoritism. Also doesn't help that without the levity in Uprising, here he just comes across as Ow the Edge Pit.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! That shows well with Robin at least. I guess they liked the idea of a swordsman-spellcaster, and they have an interesting moveset to prove it. Everyone else, on the other hand, sounds like they were made by someone who was only told "they're anime characters that use swords, one is blue and moves faster, the other is blue and red and is slower, and the other is the first guy but a grill."
I'm pretty sure the concept of Law having limits was a translation error. -WanderlustwarriorI'm still salty. I wouldn't mind if in the future Smash included a bunch of alts with a few gameplay differences for most characters. Lucina for Marth, Chrom for Ike, Morgan for Robin, for starters. Then you can go nuts with Toon Ganondorf, Wolf, and whoever you like.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.

James Bond vs. Master Core sounds inexplicably funny to me.
