Yeah basically.
The individual characters have very different manufacturing rates and quite often the stigma of being a toy makes several even harder to find because of low stock rates- Basically, if the character isn't obviously kid-friendly, it's not likely to be stocked. End result- Both Peaches and the regular two flavors of Mario are everywhere and poor Luigi is being left on clearance while the Fire Emblem cast and Captain Falcon and all them are just nowhere to be seen.
I sure said that!Oddly enough, since I've given up expecting to see amiibo of my mains in stores (I planned to make those my first amiibo purchases), I've been trying to find Peach, but I haven't been able to find her amiibo anywhere for months. Even after I changed locations a couple of months ago.
And the best thing about that "Anything Can Change?" vid (beside "Chrome") is how similar's Lucina sounds to the actual VA. I was kind taken aback by it at first.

That's weird. Both versions of Peach (especially the Smash version) are infamous among the amiibo community for being extremely common in stores.
So if you're wondering how my Lucas is doing...
I obviously still need to get adjusted to some things
RE:Peach Everywhere: That's what everyone tells me, but I just know that once I decided to give up on the rarer amiibo and just get Peach, she disappears.
To be fair, I haven't looked around much since I moved (job searching's more important
). The local Target and Best Buy didn't have any last time I checked though.

Considering the whole "Sold out on Site X in Y minutes" thing going on with amiibo? Kinda.
I'm happy with the two amiibo I own, I don't really need more.
