My favorite in every game has been Pikachu
Even in Super Smash Flash 2, pikachu is OP. That Down A area of effect attack, that Down B artillery strike, that Volt tackle, that insane recovery. Pikachu is a god
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for you![]()
I'm not exactly good with Olimar, but I've found I can sorta-kinda manage with him not planning anything just fighting as hard as I can.
All of them are capable of great shenanigans, but only Duck Hunt is built entirely around them.
I will not ever forget the beautifully pavlovian response I still sometimes get from people who don't quite know how to handle Clay Shooting- Lob a couple of pigeons at them until they think they've got a defensive timing down, then use the side-taunt.
I sure said that!I liked to think I'm kinda well rounded with all the characters that I like playing.
Then I remembered I'm kinda bad at the Wii Fit Trainer.
Some days I like to think I'm good, though.
Same with Duck Hunt too.

mario is red, i am green, i try my best, but everyone's meanFor the inverse (character I hate playing as but am good with), I have Yoshi.
Technically, there is only one Melee vet that is not in Smash 4. Pichu is the one that's missing. You might be thinking "And Young Link!", but that's kinda incorrect. Link has a Fierce Deity alt, so it could mean that Young Link is wearing that mask that turns him into the Fierce Deity Link.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Personally, I sure do love Wario, but I don't think I've ever won as him in Sm4sh. I like to think I was decent as him in Brawl, but for some reason, I can't play well as him now. Maybe it's because I focus more on Mario, Little Mac, Mega Man, and Pac-Man, and thus don't have as much practice with the Purple Wind.

Not to mention the whole "Toon Link is literally Young Link with a different art style" thing.
It pisses me off how people insists they're different. If you're gonna say "they're from different time periods" or something like that, well... I guess Link himself was cut after Melee, because that's the TP Link in Brawl/4, not the Hero of Time!
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI'd say I'm decent as Duck Hunt, Wario, Mario, Dr. Mario on occasion, Marth, Roy, Link, and Toon Link. Characters I'm bad as but are still fun to use are Villager, Mega Man, Captain Falcon, Ganondorf, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Yoshi, and Luigi.
That said, I can't really pull off most of the crazy stuff dedicated Villager, Yoshi, and Luigi players can do, but I like to think I'm fairly competent with all of them.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.

Dedede's kind of an odd case in that his handful of good options are surprisingly obvious and threatening, but it's still very easy to destroy yourself with him (even with something as simple as using otherwise normal moves that are apparently just meant to give your opponent a free stock and nothing else, most notably his dash attack). Gordo tilting and various other scary shenanigans definitely keep the entertainment alive, though.
I'd also want to say Sheik and/or Sonic, but I haven't put nearly enough effort into them yet anyway.
