I believe the ones unlocked through challenges give that equipment and allow them to be random drops as well. Don't quote me on that though.

Why is unlocking equipment much easier than unlocking custom moves?

The long and short of it is that you only need each custom move once, whereas most equipment pieces are ever-so-slightly different from each other. Once you've got Fire Orb or Screw Rush or whatever you've got it for good, but equipment can be sold or feed to FPs and you can always be on the hunt for better ones- One Max-Power Gloves piece could well be twenty points ahead of another.

I sure said that!

But it's possible to get custom moves more than once.

But they're overall rarer than equipment, and the extra copies don't actually do anything.

So at the Smash Factor 4 grand finals, a 14 year old kid going by Leo beat Mr. R with a triple 2 stock, who got Top 8 at EVO, IIRC. What does he do after he wins? Call out Zero, saying he'll 2 stock him. Leo played Meta Knight.

More than "not bad." You're awesome, Moon- You might not be the best ever, perhaps, but you're up there, and you're certainly the best here.

Granted a lot of the reason I got third place was because of the lag caused by distance (pretty much everyone else was from the US) and me being more used to it than the other players were, rather than just being better at the game.

I'm still happy I managed to beat Dabuz's Rosalina once though.

What has been going on in the online scene for you guys lately?

Me: I haven't really played since February, so not much. If the MP thread was still open I'd ask.

I keep ending up fighting the absolute WORST this game has to offer. Not as in their ability to play, but the worst in how they behaved. Most of them are Ness players who spam PK Fire and back-throw. Every one of these players I've fought have been the kind of person that taunts as soon as you're knocked off the stage and when they run out of taunts, they crouch repeatedly in place of them. Then some of these people pick the character you just used and tries to play even better than you. I haven't fought a single person that isn't like this or just simple at a godlike level of play compared to mine. I haven't fought a single all around decent player in With Anyone.

Only bad experience I've had is ZSS players who do nothing but down throw, up air, boost kick. It gets old fast.

Mrgh. Just got off a bunch of matches from a guy that went Link to Fox to Pikachu.

I was winning a majority of them with Lucas and Falco, but he just kept my Lucas completely out of reach and edge guarded me hard. And he just kept going with the Thunder Jolt the moment I switched off Lucas and HMMMMMMGH.

A connection before that I learned they added a quick "Watch out!" to Dark Pit's forward tilt. That was kinda funny to hear.

Watchin' your matches, Full Moon... Yooooo that was a clean as hell first match, dude.

@Moon, regarding 'getting wrecked': Just watched to the end of the second match so far, and that is NOT getting wrecked. It could've gone either way in the second match.

I keep getting either absolute squash matches or battles that cut incredibly close. There's never any just-ahead fights- The effectiveness ratios are always either 90-10 or 45-55.

Alright, finished the video. Yeesh. Dabuz turned that around for the last match. I wouldn't call it getting wrecked either, though. It looks like you pushed him pretty hard.

Now a Falco player? Senpai...!?
