I think a lot of us want to see Giga Bowser in a main series game where he is played straight. It might not work well with the RP Gs where Bowser is a comedic character, though.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Those were just times when Bowser got even huger than typical.

I sure said that!Mario's Bowser never had ice nor darkness powers, for one.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyThere are a ton of differences between Giga Bowser and just plain Bowser beyond the size. The elemental attacks, for one, but also physical differences. Giga has a lot more (sharper) spikes, and even if you remove the spikes, his shell more closely resembles alligator snapping turtles
◊ than his base form, which more resembles flatter-shelled turtles. Also, he has a longer, more angular face and similarly longer and sharper teeth. In general, he looks a lot less... cartoonish.

Doesn't Bowser have darkness powers in the rpg's, though? Not ice, though.
Giga Bowser is made for Smash, but based partially upon Bowser's "grow huge to fight even more powerfully than before" style he does in the Mario games. However, as noted, he gains powers never seen before.
Partially related, but Giga Bowser's fighting abilities are specifically Melee/Brawl style. His moveset is almost the exact same between the two games(just the Forward B changing), compared to 4 where he got a major overhaul. Being that he's not available to play as in Melee, there's the theory that during the story(which is Adventure Mode) that Bowser defeated and absorbed his Giga form, but can't use it whenever he wants(hence the Smash Ball requirement. Although that's just a gameplay mechanic. In a story format, I'm guessing the idea is they can rarely pull out a Final Smash in a way that a Limit Break can happen, only under certain conditions).
I would like to see Giga Bowser in a regular Mario game, though. Even as a cameo in a Mario Party game would be fine. He'd be a neat PC in Mario Kart, though. With all the random racers, he'd be a great heavyweight.
Shadow? But then we wouldn't have the Great Demon Lord in a cat costume!
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.Can't say anything about SMR, but as far as I can tell all of his other RPG appearances were all usually limited to mundane Bowser stuff unless he's explicitly being aided/influenced by a separate source (Kammy, Star Rod, Shroobs, etc).

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyTerrorize he summons a giant Boo, Poison Gas he summons a Mokura. Neither of those are really Bowser himself using those abilities.
The only real magical "power" he displays is actually an earth-based attack.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! We know Bowser is capable of magical teleportation at least.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.Bowser's Dark magic is just an informed ability stated by the manual of the first game, same with Peach's own magic powers.
Until Galaxy 1, he's got a Dark spin attack and teleports with dark magic.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.

Mega Man 10 was released in 2010. And there were a lot more Mega Man spinoff games released in the 2000s. Mega Man Classic barely had a presence in the 2000s. And I believe all those Street Fighter games were also spinoffs that very few people even remember. And I think there were very SF games in the 2000s, so barely having a presence. Snake and Sonic had the most presence in the 2000s.
