A little on the late side, but Mario replacing the Tornado with the FLUDD always bothered me, even back in Brawl. It always made sense to me for the face of Nintendo to be a mechanically-simple Shotoclone-esque Jack of All Stats, basically Smash's version of Ryu (not counting actual-Ryu). The FLUDD is an unorthodox move that disrupts that. Would replacing Cape with FLUDD be a better move?

Why replace the cape, it could be his Up-B.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Sweeping a cape to reflect projectiles is much simpler than utilizing a non-damaging move to push people away from ledges.
The Cape was intended as Mario's preferred method of Edgeguarding, as it could turn people around. But then, the changes to the ledge-grabbing mechanics in Brawl made the Cape only good as a reflector, so they gave Mario FLUDD to make up for that.
Turns out Pac-Man does have a tiny, tiny bit of Pac Man World representation in his moveset beyond his appearance. While Power Pellet seems generic enough on its own, the controllable line of Pac-Dots leading up to the Power Pellet seems to call back to Pac-Dot chains in the PMW games.
Still wish they'd taken a stage or at least some music from that era.
It is kinda the one bit of significance Pac actually had in the 00s.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guySome Pac Man World music here,
since we're talking about the game. I played the first one, and it was pretty good. I never played the sequels though. What are they like?
Final Smashes in reverse are... Odd.
Like the fact that Tom Nook seems to be paying the villager and tearing his house down.
And then theres the backwards speaking.
And the fact that Peach's FS music sounds almost the same in reverse.
I haven't played the first two, but I've heard that 3's a fair bit darker than them. Also, Pac's voiced in 3, which I know a lot of people weren't happy about. Honestly, I think that's a case of They Changed It, Now It Sucks!, because I absolutely love the personality they put into him and into the rest of the characters in the game.
Here's a playthrough of it, if anyone wants to see.
